Horns blared in the distance, heralding the start of a new battle against the Saviors.
Hilltopians, Alexandrians, and the people of The Kingdom had come together, united and ready to defend their home.
Athena knew that she had to talk with her father about the baby, before the fight starts. He was way too quiet on the way to Hilltop, so she wanted to know if he was angry at her.
Daryl had actually been getting ready for tonight. He saw his daughter, timidly walking towards him and gave her a smile.
Athena smiled at her father "Hey, dad."
"Hey," Daryl greeted her "You ready for tonight?" He asked, making conversation.
She nodded "Yeah, I'll stay with Maggie, Eve and Shiva will be with the kids like we planned. Leo is still out there with Rick and Blake will be with the others." She then took a deep breath "Dad?" She began.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"Are you angry at me?" She asked him.
He looked at her in confusion "Why should I be angry?"
"W-W-Well for me being-" She trailed off slightly.
"For you being pregnant?" He asked her and she nodded timidly "I'm not angry."
She looked at him with wide eyes and nodded "Oh... it's just that you were so quiet on the way here-"
"Do you love Leo?" He asked her, interrupting her.
She nodded "Of course."
"Do you think the baby is a mistake?" Daryl asked his daughter.
She looked at him with wide eyes "No! I love my baby!" She hugged her stomach in a protective manner.
He stood up from his place and faced his daughter "Then why should I be angry? If anything I'm very happy about you and Leo. Hell I'm going to be a grandpa."
Athena laughed softly and nodded "You're going to be a grandpa."
Daryl then pulled her towards him. She felt happy and in peace being in her father's embarrassing.
After a few seconds they pulled away and Daryl smiled at his daughter "I'm happy for you Athena."
"Thanks dad."
"We have to get ready." Daryl told her.
She nodded "Be careful." She told him before she walked upstairs, and stood next to Maggie.
A few minutes later Jerry gave the signal that the Saviors were there.
"Here we go." Maggie whisperes.
