SUMMARY:
The team decides that a weekend in Vegas would be a perfect de-stressor. Turns out there is such a thing as too much alcohol.——————————
"I'd rather not be bombarded by questions from Emily, JJ and Penelope as to why I woke up in your room and not in theirs. Goodnight Spencer." Y/N placed a small kiss to Spencer's lips before trying not to fall over as she turned around to enter the hotel room being shared by the ladies of the BAU.
She barely made it inside without stumbling over, which is why Y/N wasn't a fan of drinking.
Y/N's eyes shot open as she sat up in the hotel room bed, trying to regain control of her breathing. She felt a body beside her, and she let out a deep exhale knowing that it was only Penelope.
"God...I hate drinking." Penelope groaned as she sat up, rubbing her eyes.
"You say that now, but you'll be drinking again in a few hours. We've still got 48 hours here." Y/N reminded Penelope.
"Where are Em and JJ?" Y/N asked, glancing around the room.
"I think I heard them leaving the room 15 minutes ago for breakfast." Penelope nodded.
"Breakfast doesn't sound too bad right now. I think I might be hungry." Y/N groaned.
"Oh, that ring on your finger looked very pretty last night, but it looks even prettier now!" Penelope held Y/N's left hand.
"Ring? What ring?" Y/N questioned before looking at her hand, almost freezing at the sight of a golden band wrapped around her ring finger.
"Where the fuck did the ring come from?!" Y/N gasped.
"Y/N? Penelope? You two awake?" Y/N heard Spencer's voice from behind the hotel room door. Penelope got up and opened the door, letting Spencer inside the hotel room.
"Y- You...you have a gold band around your left ring finger as well." Y/N gestured to the ring, Spencer nodding.
"According to the wedding rings, the marriage certificate and the many photos and videos on my phone from Penelope, I believe that last night...we got married." Spencer told, sitting down on a nearby chair.
"We're...married?" Y/N almost started panicking.
"Don't sound so disappointed." Penelope chuckled.
"I'm not disappointed, I'm just...this isn't how I planned things to go." Y/N revealed.
"You had a plan?" Spencer asked.
"Yes. Look. I've liked you for years, Spencer. I was planning to ask you out on a date while we were here in Vegas, but I guess my brain went one step further and screamed 'MARRIAGE'." Y/N nodded.
"Well, if you'd like, we can piece together the mystery of our wedding and then...we can go on a date?" Spencer offered.
"Sounds like a plan." Y/N replied, pulling Spencer in for a hug.
"Okay. So, to start piecing together the mystery of the wedding, we first need to identify when the marriage license was obtained." Y/N told.
"Oh. That's easy. You sent me a message at 10:45 PM with a photo attached saying "we've got the license, can you get the rings?" Penelope showed Y/N and Spencer the messages from last night.
"We must've been at the Marriage License Bureau last night. They're open from 8 AM 'til midnight every day." Spencer told.
"Sounds normal. We know where we got the license. We know where we got the rings. Do we know where we got married?" Y/N asked.
