Summary:
Y/N is a vampire who swore off drinking human blood. Unfortunately for her, she's one animal away from experiencing a blood meltdown.

While on a case, Spencer catches Y/N snacking on a wild animal. When Y/N tells him what's she's going through, he volunteers to be her own personal blood-bank.

Y/N
What was wrong with you? In the 4 years you'd been working with the BAU, you hadn't had such prominent urges. Everywhere you turned, the urge to feed became harder to ignore.

You tried sating the urges by drinking large amounts of coffee and water whenever you couldn't get away from the team long enough to feed on any nearby small animals.

You refused to drink human blood. Not because killing people would be morally wrong, - you could choose to only drink the blood of the bad men you and the team chased - but because you were afraid of not being able to stop yourself from drinking your victims dry.

Unfortunately for you, your body was one more small animal away from having a meltdown. Since the night you became a vampire, you had managed to keep yourself on an animal diet. But now, your body was - for some reason - pushing against the animal diet, desiring fresh blood from the vein of a human.

———

The last time you consumed animal blood, you spent 3 hours sitting next to your toilet, expelling it all out of your stomach. You sipped water and it managed to keep you from finding a random person to eat.

You arrived to work at 7:45 AM as normal, fighting every urge to bite.

"You alright Y/N? You look a bit...pale." Penelope informed as she put her hand on your shoulder. She got close to you. Close enough that you could hear the blood pumping through her veins.

"Haven't eaten much lately." You quickly walked away. The last thing you wanted was to bite any of your co-workers.

You didn't quite hear Penelope's next question. You faced away from her, trying to prevent your fangs from appearing. The telltale signs that you were going to feed included the fangs (obviously) and your irises turning a bright red color. Luckily there weren't any other indicators like veins appearing under your eyes, or your eyes turning black and red while you fed.

"Y/N." Penelope snapped her fingers, trying to gain your attention.

"I said I'm fine, Penelope. I probably need some food." You stared into her eyes, watching as her eyes reflected a golden yellow color, indicating to you that she had been compelled into dropping the subject.

"I have a warmed croissant in my office. You probably need it more than I do." She blinked a few times before walking off with a smile.

During the case briefing, you sat far away from the window, avoiding the sun as much as possible. You were first on the plane, using your super-speed to keep the sun off your skin. The others questioned your choice of attire (a long jacket, sleeved shirt and ankle-length pants), but you shrugged their stares off, keeping yourself from getting close to them.

The precinct wasn't any better. The only place secluded from the main area was the conference room. 2 windows with bulletproof glass on either side. As soon as the team got to work, you asked to remain in the precinct with Spencer. Soon enough, you were alone with Spencer in the conference room, an officer or two entering with a file to look at. You let Spencer do the talking, as getting too close could result in bodies dropping to the floor from your feed.
