Shen Wei took a deep breath in and looked around the bedroom before he sat up and swung his feet to the floor in one move. He saw the telepath sitting in the corner waiting for him to awaken and spoke to him.

"I needed the rest, otherwise the print becomes blurred and I can't see it. How long have I been asleep?" he asked as he stretched his muscles while yawning.

"I never stayed, once I found out that I couldn't wake you, so not too long, it gave me a chance to rest as well. Get back to work, no more excuses."

Cong Bo lied, he had left Wei to sleep after he'd seen the pain his boss had inflicted on him last night and had decided that he wasn't going to co operate with him anymore. Wei slowly arose and went to the bathroom to wash his face before returning to his study where he found Yunlan outside waiting for him with a tray full of tasty treats to replace his missing lunch and he smiled  as he stared at the tempting tray suddenly realising that he was starving, and opened the door allowing Yunlan to enter.

"Shen Wei, the cook has sent you some small snacks because you missed lunch and it will help keep your tiredness away. I'll sit it over here on the other table away from your work, take a break every hour and eat, otherwise you will collapse."

Yunlan walked directly towards the spirit of the telepath who was forced to step aside to avoid him and placed the tray down. He instantly turned and strolled back towards Wei causing the spirit to move again before asking Wei if he would like some tea.

"Yes please Yunlan, that would be lovely, thank you," he answered as he studied the expression on his visitor's face who followed Yunlan out of the room, and he immediately summoned a guard who appeared and dropped to his knees in a full salute. This was the first time one of them had been able to appear before him during the last three months.

"Go to the kitchen and warn them that the spirit is following Yunlan, and thank Ava for the tray she sent up, please."

The guard bowed and vanished before reappearing seconds later in the kitchen in front of Ava and Chu, while the cat was under the table, watching and listening. He warned them briefly and abruptly left just as Yunlan arrived, knowing that he wasn't alone.

"Ava, the gentleman in the study was very grateful for your thoughtfulness and would like some tea please. I've told him to eat once an hour because we can't have him passing out again. The next time he faints or shows any sign of pain, and I mean any, no matter how small it seems, we're sending him to the hospital for investigation. It will be the same for everyone from now on. We can't ignore the fact that his health has gone downhill rapidly since he moved here, and it doesn't matter how long they keep him for investigation, his work can be halted or cancelled. Now I'll take that tea up to him."

Yunlan was aware of the impact his statement had made on his invisible follower because he saw hesitation and fear in his expression as he trailed behind him, back towards the study. Yunlan halted and tapped the door before he entered with his shadow in tow, and winked as he smiled at Wei and poured him a cup of tea.
