It felt strange for Yunlan to go back to work and deal with normal cases but he was pleased at the same time. Unfortunately when he entered his office, he found out that he had been burgled. Someone had stolen several of his ancient weapons and the first thing he would need to do was report the loss and give a detailed description of what was missing. Thankfully he had friends at the local police office who knew of his hobby and they understood that he was a collector and not someone trying to raise a small medieval army.

Lin Jing had a headache and the sound of women arguing was not helping one bit. The office wasn't particularly busy but it was more noisy than usual or to Lin Jing it only seemed that way. What he hadn't realised was that he had the beginnings of a viral infection and by the end of the day, he would be heading for bed with a hot drink. He retreated to his office and closed the noise outside before he sat down at his desk, glad of the peace and quiet. Yunlan had been in this building many times and his visits were always associated with whatever case he was working on at the time, so the staff knew him well and directed him towards Jing's office but warned him to speak softly because their boss looked ill.

Yunlan could see him through the office windows and agreed with the staff but knew that Jing was stubborn and probably wouldn't go home if they asked him, but maybe he would for him and he tapped the door lightly.

"Jing, just the person I wanted to see, I've been robbed, they broke into my office." Yunlan told him as he studied Jing's condition.

"Don't tell me, they stole your antiques. Nobody else I know keeps dangerous weapons in full view, displayed for all to see, could you not at least put them behind shatterproof glass and lock them in? Who in their right mind would want to steal them anyway?"

Yunlan felt mildly insulted, the swords were worth a lot of money but he had a point, and had considered transferring them to Wei's house but he wasn't going to admit it.

"Would you like a list, I've brought one just in case.

One Green Dragon Crescent Blade, Two Butterfly Swords, One Jian with a Jade Hilt worth a lot of money, and Two DaDao broadswords."

Yunlan handed the list to Lin Jing who joked about some vigilante now running around the city dressed in black and using one of the stolen swords, but Yunlan found the idea too uncomfortable and started talking to Jing in a soft hypnotic tone of voice.

"Your staff seem very capable, I'm sure they could manage on their own if you were feeling rough, especially when your coughing started. Find your jacket and I'll take you home, you agree, yes?"

Jing stood up and reached for his jacket while he lifted the list of stolen items and walked out of his office, only stopping long enough to talk to the nearest female member of his staff, the noisy one.
