He didn't feel any pain, he felt as though he was in a hammock swaying in the breeze. The sun warmed some of his skin through the broken car windows and he had a crazy thought about having red sunburn patches and laughed slightly which reminded him not to move. If fate was going to save him, then someone would see his car and if not, then this would be his last resting place, so why move and cause more pain when it didn't matter one way or another.

He didn't know how he managed to be in this position when he was in the driver's seat but it wasn't important and as far as he knew, no one else was involved with the accident otherwise they would have helped by now. It was an older car and whether that had saved him or had caused his predicament ... Rubbish he thought, think of something else.

He didn't know where he was, but there were gulls, a sea breeze and a cliff, probably with a long drop, and the car was gently swaying , nature was lulling him to sleep, maybe when I wake up, I'll be able to think a bit clearer.

Ava put her arms around Yunlan as he moaned slightly and hunched over.

"You can't hide this from your other half, I can't tell you what to say or imagine how to talk to him, but you're getting worse."

Yunlan knew that she was right and when the discomfort wore off he went back to the room but Ying was present and Yunlan needed to talk to Wei now before his courage would fail him.

"Ying, could you leave us please, I have something to discuss with Lord Shen."

Ying could see the concern in his expression, it seemed to come from him in waves and he glanced over at Wei who nodded for him to leave. Yunlan wrote out a talisman and fired it harshly at the bedroom door, sealing them in and stopping anyone from interrupting them. Wei knew that he wasn't angry but he was emotional about something and he walked over to where Yunlan had sat down on the edge of the bed and stood in front of him. He never had the chance to ask anything before Yunlan threw his arms around his waist and clung onto him as he cried silently.

Wei was slightly shocked but cradled his head against his abdomen until he could calm himself and would feel like moving. He had realised what the only thing was, that would cause this amount of emotion from Yunlan, so he waited and ran his fingers through his hair over and over again until he moved and sat back slightly. Wei gently dropped to his knees to be eye level when he spoke to him.

"You've had warning signs?" and he watched while Yunlan nodded.

"Since before our holiday?" he asked and Yunlan nodded.

"Did Kunlun tell you when?"

"He doesn't know and I have a decision to make. Whether to live with Black Robe or spend some time in the Enigma Room holding him for the next host."
