Wei had left the kitchen and was on his way back to the study when he staggered and leaned against the wall for a second to recover, before he opened the door to see how Chu was getting on with his search.

"Well Chu, how are things, what kind of building are we dealing with?" Wei asked hopefully, he would like it to be a castle, he'd never fought in one before and this would be a first.

"It used to be a castle that was converted to a more modern house in the early twentieth century, but it kept its turrets and towers, so it still looks like an old castle. Except now it has an internet connection with a communication room. They've kept the cells in the dungeon and probably that's where Yunlan was held, so he could be hiding anywhere in that place."

Wei studied the image on the screen, it looked historic and wondered how the psycho had managed to buy it, or was it handed down in the family. The history under the photo stated that it was home to a private army who had displays of ancient weapons and how to use them, family days out with hot food stalls. Probably the complete opposite of what they really were, organised armed hit men, working for a lunatic who thought he was the king of this castle, with dungeons in the basement.

Chu was concerned about Wei looking tired, the signs of exhaustion were becoming more obvious and he helped him over to the sofa to sit down where he examined him with no fuss, which was unusual for Wei to agree so easily. He flinched with pain every time Chu touched him and he suggested that he stay here for a rest, while he called Ying to the study who already knew why he'd been summoned and brought a guard with him. Wei wasn't very pleased with Ying for bringing a witness to see his condition but when it was explained to him that he would need someone to stay beside him, he calmed down, asking for a cup of tea. Ying and Chu had guessed that the Spirit would take over soon but they also knew that Wei would have some last orders to give them before he would sleep.

The young guard appeared with the tea and nervously walked forward to give a cup to Wei who watched him as he approached.

"Guard Li, I'm not usually an angry person but if I become irritable, please understand that it's the pain talking and not me. I appreciate what you are doing for me. Thank you."

The guard relaxed slightly as Wei accepted the tea just before the fangs sunk into his other shoulder without any warning and he firmly clenched the cup as he gasped deeply, leaning the favoured shoulder forward as he moaned. The young guard moved closer and removed the cup from Wei's grip before he put his arms around him, allowing Wei to rest his head on his shoulder until Apep removed his teeth from Yunlan. Chu stepped closer to the guard and helped Wei to lean back against the comfortable chair he was sitting in and he weakly smiled at the young man, who nodded and stepped away.

Ying and Chu knelt before him as he gave them some last instructions.

"Ava will be looking after me later while you treat Yunlan's injuries Chu, she knows this, we have already spoken. I will feel everything he does. Apep cannot give him anymore painkiller or he will poison him. I would rather the guards did not see me like this, But Guard Li, the young one here just now can help Ava later. Nurse will prepare a room for you to work with both of us afterwards. Black Robe will take over completely, I will be the watcher, this way he can lower my pain. His methods of fighting might be a bit different from mine but I trust him. Keep everyone safe."
