This was going to be difficult, how do you make your point without harming someone because they are family but he couldn't let him continue, others were being seriously injured by his corrupted jealousy. Would he even believe what he was doing was wrong and that he had been influenced to the point of believing, that he was right and Black Robe was wrong. He would need to shut down his own emotions and treat him the same as any other criminal. Sending him to Kunlun would be his last resort.
Wei could feel the sadness coming from within and knew that Black Robe was trying to deal with something that was having an emotional effect on him. It was a very strange situation, he had never been able to feel any emotions coming from his lodger and there was nothing he could do.
Yunlan was already in bed, lying watching Wei's expressions as he sat on the edge, lost in thought.
"Are you worried about something my love?" Yunlan asked as he raised himself up to lean on his elbow.
"No, not me, but my lodger is. I've never felt his emotions before. He's hurt over something, a decision maybe."
"Bed. It's been a long day for you, and maybe if you rest, he'll rest. You once made a beautiful sky to sleep under, in this room," and Yunlan stared with a wicked grin, hoping that Wei would produce it again, he fell asleep too quickly the last time.
Wei looked up at the ceiling and agreed, it was a boring view. He drew out two beautiful talismans and fired them towards the roof, while Yunlan observed the old timber as it rolled to the side of the room revealing a beautiful dark sky full of bright twinkling stars. He lay amazed, just staring until he felt Wei tuck himself into his side and hold him until they both fell asleep.
Black Robe also watched the stars and marvelled at how beautiful they were until there was a slight flicker, losing their sharpness for an instant, no longer. Blink and he would have missed it. He knew what it meant and he borrowed the watch while he looked around for the orb to take with him to the nearest gateway, on his own.
The slim white figure slipped through the doorway and surveyed the land in front of him, he was alone, no welcoming party. He would be able to search for the orb and return without being seen, giving him complete control over the gates. Black Robe was out of his way and his business could expand and profit. There were two orbs, one for each brother but only Shen Wei's could open or close the gate indefinitely, his had a time and usage limit. It could only be activated twice a day, a return trip and it held the gate open for half an hour before it automatically closed.
"You entered like a thief in the night, is that what you've become brother?" Black Robe asked.
Yezun halted and slowly turned, he hadn't expected Gege to be free and had no wish to fight him, because he would lose.
"You never cease to amaze me, I thought you'd be trapped for the rest of his life but here you are. You deserve your reputation, it seems that I've misjudged you."
