warnings: location of theme park (later on in chapter) is completely fictional, possibility of slight mischaracterisation

On the day after the match, Ego gave everyone two weeks off. Allowing everyone to leave Blue Lock and go back to their families. Chigiri looked to you as you stood outside the compound, enjoying the cold air. He walked towards you with a slight frown, "hey (Y/N)."

You turn your head as you hear your name being called and you look to Chigiri and nod your head in response, "oh? Chigiri. How come you haven't left for home yet like everyone else?" He looked to you and glanced to the sky, "waiting for my mom and sis to pick me up."

The both of you stood in silence, enjoying the cold weather considering the AC was all you felt for a good long while. "So...where are you going to stay?" Chigiri asks as he turns to look at you. You pause as you think about it and let out a sigh, "I'll make do as always. Book a last minute hotel." You pause as you grin and chuckle, "fame has its benefits."

The boy laughs along with you and smiles before he pauses and rummages through his bag, "oh yeah- (Y/N). Could I have your phone number?" He asks you with a small smile and extends his phone to you. "I wanted to ask you a while back but everyone else got to you before I could so I figured I'll just wait till when they're all gone." A small blush coated his cheeks as he observed you.

You look at his phone and nod your head, "course!" Gently, you take his phone from him, more than happy to give your phone number to him. After a few seconds, you finish up and you pass him back his phone. "Gimme a text and I'll respond as fast as I can. Promise," you say with a grin. He looks at his phone, taking it back and dropping it back into his bag.

"Noted," he says with a soft chuckle of amusement. "I'll be sure to send it soon." You nod your head and you run your fingers through your hair, the wind was starting to pick up and your hair seemed to be getting in the way of your sight. "Wait- I'll help with that," you hear Chigiri say and you feel his touch on your head. He wasn't even properly thinking right now, purely relying on his thoughts that you'd look better without your hair blocking your face. In response, you close your eyes and not move, innerly flustered and taken aback by his actions. One of his hands holding the back of your head and the other pressing what felt like a clip on the side of your head. You felt the warmth of his hands slide off your head and you opened your eyes to see him staring at you.

"Ah- thanks for that," you say as you smile slightly and Chigiri remains quiet before letting out a breath and smiling. "My pleasure (Y/N)," he says and the sound of a car approaching sounds the air. Chigiri waved goodbye to you, that was his sign to go, "I'll see you when I can."

The second Chigiri turned around, the tip of his ears grew warm and he innerly groaned, he didn't know what he was thinking when he did that. It's as if a part of him really just blanked out. He was hoping you wouldn't think he was weird and would avoid him. He rushed towards his car and entered it, but not before giving you one last glance and seeing you looking back at him, giving him one last wave.

You watch as his car backs away and drives off. Feelings. What a complicated little thing. But you shake your head, dismissing the topic off your mind as you see your cousin beginning to approach you. He had a grim look on his face and it wasn't entirely hard to guess what he was going to talk to you about. He took the place next to you and sat down, patting the grass beside him, signalling for you to follow suit to which you do.

"They're going to do it the formal way. The letter has already been written, it'll be sent to you in a bit, all you have to do is read the agreement and its details and sign," Ego says. "Be careful. You never know what they'd write. Analyse it if you must."

You bite your tongue and nod your head, you had expected this, knowing that you'd get disowned. It was just a matter of when and where. "Devil's in the fine print huh?" you murmur as you think about it, closing your eyes as you envision the black and white document in front of you, pen in your hand. "My last name...I suppose that'll be part of the contract. For me to change my surname," you reopen your eyes and find yourself subconsciously fiddling with your fingers. "What am I to change it to?"
