Sarah groaned, waking up slowly at hearing a constant knocking on her door. She blinked a few times, covering her face from the ray of sun that was falling on her face from the gap between the wall and the curtain.

Rubbing her tired face, she slowly opened her eyes and sat up in her bed.

Last night after her little confession, she had been saved by Daisy who began to cry, obviously hungry. So David had left her flat after asking her a thousand times if she was okay to stay alone that night.

As much as she wanted him to stay with her, she knew it wasn't appropriate, and it was better that he left when she couldn't think properly with her jumbled thoughts.

After he left, she brushed her teeth, cried for another hour to somehow lighten her once again heavy heart and finally she fell into sleep.

And the next morning, she wasn't feeling better one bit. Her heart was still heavy, she had a mild headache from all of that stress and crying from last night, and now she was annoyed because of being rudely awakened by the person who had decided to now pound at her front door.

Glancing at her bedside table, she groaned once again at seeing the clock showing half past eight in the morning. She had texted Helena last night, taking the day off, knowing that she wasn't able to go to work in her condition. So she had planned to sleep as much as she could that morning.

Realizing the person behind the door wouldn't go away anytime soon, she threw the covers away and marched toward the front door, not caring one bit about her disheveled appearance.

Grumbling under her breath, she grabbed the doorknob and yanked the door open, ready to give the person behind the door a piece of her mind, only to shut up instantly at the sight of David standing there.

He looked so sexy in his black hoody and black jeans. His tousled hair was a bit wet, falling a bit on his forehead, giving him a boyish look. His stubble was neatly trimmed and shaped, creating a five o'clock shadow on his sharp jawline.

He looked like a bad boy from Uni.

One of his hands was in his jean pocket and the other was slowly returning to his side, surely the one that was pounding on the door a moment before.

He truly was an attractive man.

"David!" she squeaked, forgetting her previous anger.

He raised an eyebrow and looked her up and down, making her blush and slightly hide behind the door, suddenly shy about how she looked.

"You look like a mess."

She frowned at hearing his blunt statement. Opening the door wider again, she crossed her arms in front of her chest, glaring up at him suddenly pissed off again.

"Yeah, sorry, his majesty." she rolled her eyes, sarcasm dripping from her tone. "I wasn't informed that I was going to be graced by his great presence at eight in the damn morning when I wanted to sleep in."

He raised both of his eyebrows, amused at her little outburst and little cussing. The corner of his lips quirked up a bit at the sight of her cute flushed face.

"Go get ready." he announced, returning to his emotionless face. "Be ready in half an hour."

"Excuse me?" she scrunched her eyebrows confused.

"I think you have become dumb since your date with that idiot last night." he said flicking her forehead, making her flinch and hiss in pain. "I said go and get ready. We are going out."

"Where?" she rubbed her forehead, maintaining her glare. "I want to sleep."

"And now you are whining like a kid." he tasked, shoving both hands into his pockets. "You surely have lost a few brain cells. Of course spending time with that fucker last night ..."
