"So what is your important news?" asked David impatiently. "What has happened?"

He clasped his hands in front of him on his desk and stared at John Samuels who was sitting in front of him. A week had passed since the night of his date with Sarah and her acceptance to be his girlfriend. A blissful week he had felt so much calmer than any time before.

They were in his room in the new office. Aiden and  Adrian Ivanov, their old friend and private investigator were present in the room as well. John and Aiden had sat on the sofas in front of the office desk and Adrian was smoking beside the window, seemingly uninterested in the conversation.

"I was able to schedule the first court session." said John, finally letting his full-grown grin appear.

Aiden's eyes widened and David's body tensed at hearing the news. Both of their hearts began to race in anticipation. Finally, something was happening after almost 4 months.

"We gave them evidence that they couldn't ignore." chirped John victoriously, puffing his chest. "There are some corrupted officers and judges, but there are still lots of good people who fight for justice and you just have to find them. And being the smart ma..."

"What kind of evidence?" David cut his ramble impatiently, needing to hear every bit of information. His heart was practically jumping out of his chest.

"We weren't able to find anything indicating you have not signed the papers of power of attorney," answered Adrian this time. His face looked bored and his tone was cold as usual. The Russian man always looked like a statue.

He walked to the coffee table between the tables and crushed his cigarette in the ashtray before plopping down beside John.

"So we began to find evidence that you weren't in your office the day they are saying you have signed the documents." explained Adrian. "I must admit the bastards have planned everything perfectly. The CCTV cameras were out that day and Anna, your PA had been on vacation. You usually come to your office earlier than others and leave late. Plus you use your private elevator. So other than your PA, no one usually knows about your presence in the office. So no one can say for sure that they have seen Carson, Shepherd, and Miss. Sanders entering the building after working hours as they claim they had."

"But?" questioned Aiden, sitting on the edge of his seat eager to hear the rest. Hope was shining in his eyes and his leg was bouncing with excitement.

"But we were able to find the footage of a pharmacy David went to at exactly a quarter after six." said Adrian.

David's eyes grew wide at remembering the day. "I had a terrible headache so I went to buy painkillers." he said.

"Yes," replied John. "And that is where they made their mistake. They assumed you were at your office as always and thought you would not leave until late, thinking they could use it to their advantage and set it as a date to announce the day you have signed the documents."

"I asked you to tell me everything you can remember from a few days before and after that day and asked Miss. Anna to give me your schedule that she still had on her laptop." continued Adrian. "You thought the pharmacy incident had happened the day after the supposed day, but turns out it was the exact day. The Footage of the shop next to the office building shows you walking out of the building at exactly five minutes past six from the back door. We have gathered footage of several shops and the pharmacy you have stopped at, showing you have taken your sweet time of about 45 minutes to once again return to the office building,"

"I had a hard day," explained David, now remembering the day clear as a day. "I needed to clear my mind and I didn't want to see anyone in the company so I walked to sort my thoughts."
