Sarah opened her eyes and was momentarily blinded by the ray of sun that had fallen on her face. turning her head a bit to avoid the light, she blinked several times and yawned lazily before her vision cleared.

She smiled when her eyes fell on David who was still asleep beside her. Tucking her hand under her face, she stared with admiration at the sleeping man.

Her man

The thought sent a giddy feeling through her body, making her chew on her bottom lip to stop herself from squealing. A week had passed since she had officially become his girlfriend and she felt so happy after a long time.

Her smile widened as she gazed at his facial features. He was sleeping on his side, facing her. One of his arms was under her pillow and the other was lightly dropped over her hips.

He looked so younger while sleeping. His face looked natural, not cold nor worried. His hair had fallen on his forehead a bit, his lashes were almost touching his cheeks and his lips had formed a slight pout. Stubble had covered his sharp jaw and was giving him a more mature look.

She badly wanted to caress his jaw and lips, but refrained from doing so, in fear of waking him up. She knew how much he needed sleep. He was losing so much sleep from worry, work, and taking care of Daisy at night.

Feeling the need to go to the bathroom, she slowly crawled out of her queen-sized bed successfully without waking David up. She sighed in relief when he whispered something under his breath and turned to his other side without opening his eyes.

She giggled quietly, shaking her head at his adorable face before walking out of the room and into the bathroom. They had taken a shower last night together and so both of them were dressed in PJs already.

Washing her face and brushing her teeth, she walked out of the bathroom and walked to Daisy's makeshift cot.

"Oh, good morning, beautiful." she smiled warmly once she saw the little baby wide awake, sucking on her little toe.

"How long have you been awake?" asked Sarah, carefully picking up the now babbling and happy baby from her cot and peppering her face with kisses.

After changing Daisy's diaper and feeding her, she began to prepare a simple breakfast for herself and David.  She was humming to herself and swaying her hips when she felt a pair of arms wrap around her waist, startling her.

She grinned instantly as she felt David burring his face into her neck. "Good morning, honey." she chirped, full of energy.

"Morning," grunted David sleepy, and tightened his hold on her.

Turning off the stove, she chuckled and turned around in his arms, running her hand through his hair, making him let out a voice between whine and groan.

"God, aren't you a sunshine in the morning?" she giggled, running her hand through his hair, making him sigh.

He let out a sigh of satisfaction and his warm breath fanned her neck, sending pleasurable shivers down her spine.

"Why did you leave the bed so early?" he grunted unhappily, finally pulling away to glare down at her.

Brushing his hair out of his face, she smiled up at his grumpy face. "David it is almost nine in the morning." she answered gently, making him frown a bit and look at the clock in the living room.

"You have to go to daycare to prepare for the charity?" he asked with disappointment laced in his tone, looking back at her.

"Yes, I should be there by ten." she nodded, before releasing herself from his hold and walking around the kitchen to grab utensils. "And I'm gonna be late if I stall anymore."
