Entering a spacious room that seemed to be an office one day, the two men who were dragging David, shoved him down on the closest seat at a table. David looked around and saw Carson on the other side of the table, managing a few papers.

"Well, this is a new low for you, Carson." scoffed David, watching the agitated old man in front of him who looked like he wanted to be anywhere but where he currently was.

"You should add kidnapping to the list of your crimes." continued David. "How great."

Carson walked toward David, still not making eye contact. He looked kind of nervous but was doing his best to appear calm and collected.

"When you get involved in something, you should go down to the bottom of it." grumbled Carson while placing a few papers in front of David.

"All of this could have been avoided if you were wise enough to not fight us." said Carson in a scolding tone and finally looked at David and narrowed his eyes.

David raised an eyebrow and looked at Carson with disbelief in his eyes. "Well, sorry I fight for my right." he said sarcastically, letting out a bitter laugh of disbelief.

But his disbelief morphed into anger in a second. "Something that you should have done for me as my fucking lawyer." he spat, his eyes glaring up at Carson. "But you turned out to be a backstabbing betraying bitch."

Retrieving a handkerchief from his pocket, the old man gulped and took a step back, wiping his forehead.

"Just sign the damn papers and let us be done with this, David." spoke Carson and glanced away from David as shame passed his eyes for a second. "You can see how dangerous this can be. Shepherd is capable of everything."

"It's not too late to do the right thing, Carson." said David, his voice serious. "Help me."

Carson glanced back at David and met his cold icy eyes with his serious ones. "I'm too deep in this shit to want to back off now, David." he answered. "I will lose my everything if things get revealed that I had helped someone to take everything from my most important client. My law firm will go down to dust. So, I'm sorry."

Shaking his head, David let out a painful sigh and looked away from Carson and down at the papers in front of him. Just as he expected, it was a document stating that he takes back all of his accusations and willingly gives his everything away to Shepherd and the crew.

Just as he was reading, Shepherd walked inside, followed by two other bulky men.

"Okay, let's get over with this." chirped Shepherd and clapped his hands, his eyes glinting excitedly. "Oh, I'm so happy that this shit show will be over soon. I really want to go on a vacation in my villa in Maldives."

He then looked at David and smirked wickedly, walking on David's nerves by calling David's properties his own. David returned his smirk with one of his famous cold smirks as they stared each other down.

"You are going to sign these and then you will be off to go with your girlfriend." explained Shepherd as he plopped down in a chair.

"What the fuck are you talking about?" gritted David and his eyes narrowed on Shepherd. "What about my daughter?"

Shepherd leaned forward and placed his forearms on the table, still keeping his irritating smirk. "Oh, you don't take me for a fool, do you?" he asked. "If I let you go with your happy family what is the guarantee that you will go to the police tomorrow and withdraw your complaint?"

"I will stay here with you till tomorrow morning." seethed David, his heart beating wildly. "Let Sarah and Daisy go."

"Uh ah," tsked Shepherd, and his smirk grew wider. "No way, Davy baby. Your daughter will remain with us for a while until I make sure that you have done everything like a good boy. And don't worry. She is with her true mother. And no one will be suspicious. Am I not a genius?"
