"At your back door yelling 'cause I wanna come in."
-Lana Del Rey
When I awake the next morning, I am in Anakin's arms, content with nothing else but him on my mind.
But then the headache sets in and I groan, squeezing my eyes shut in an effort to protect me from the sunlight that pours in from the windows. Anakin stirs from next to me, his arm tightening around my body as he nuzzles his face into my neck.
"Morning." My voice is scratchy and raw, making Anakin laugh as he opens his eyes, looking right at me. Even through the pain in my head, I can't help but admire his beauty.
"Hungover?" Anakin questions, raising a brow at me. I don't have the energy to say anything, so I just nod, causing the stupid man to laugh. Suddenly, his arms are no longer around me. Instead, he's off the bed, crossing the room and hitting a button. A few seconds later, the windows dim and the Coruscant skyline disappears, plunging the room into darkness. Sighing in relief, I turn over, pulling the blankets tighter around me, "I'll be back." Anakin calls as he pulls his robes on. Before I can even question him, he's walking out the door.
I didn't even realize I had fallen asleep until I felt the mattress dip. Through the dim lighting, I can just barely make out Anakin's form as he slides onto the bed next to me, holding a cup in his hand, "Here." He whispers, helping me sit up before handing me the cup.
The drink is vile and I gag at the taste. However, I know it all too well and I thank the stars that I have a husband like Anakin.
"I'm surprised you still remember where the hungover cure is." I joke, scooting closer to Anakin until we're side by side again.
"As if I could forget, we used to have to drink at least three of these a week back before the war." I laugh a bit at the memories of Anakin and I drunk and crazy running around the temple. It's a miracle Obi-Wan was the only one to catch us, we surely would have gotten into some sort of probation had it been anyone else.
"Thank the stars for Mora, I don't know what we'd do without her." Mora was the head doctor at the temple, she was a sweet old Togruta who never once snitched on Anakin and I when we begged her for her famous hangover remedy.
"Feeling any better?" Anakin asks once I've finished the drink. I nod, setting the cup down on a nearby stand, "Any plans for today?"
"I have a training session with Caleb that should last until dusk, but after that nothing, you?"
"Nothing as of right now." Before I can react, Anakin flips me onto him so that I am straddling him. I squeak in surprise, my hand flying to his shoulders. We both laugh at the same time and in that moment it feels so free and easy. I lower my mouth to his just as his hand slides up my neck, cupping me at my nape, his other hand traveling between us, "I hope your lesson with Caleb isn't soon." Anakin groans into my mouth.
Gasping a bit for air, I respond, "Not soon."
Anakin flips me over once more, never breaking our kiss, "Good."
...
"Love you, see you tonight." I kiss Anakin goodbye an hour later, exiting our room. After our morning together, I took yet another shower, changed, and semi did my hair. It's still too short to braid it so I just combed it through and attempted to do an updo with it, however, that failed miserably. So, it's just down for now, falling in soft waves to my chin.
The training room is empty by the time I get there, however, a few seconds later, Caleb enters, a smile on his face, "Master!" He greets, walking over to me.
