WIN

Our boss's assurances had proven to be true, as he had indeed purchased a luxurious villa located next to the beach.

With its perfect security, we had no doubt that the same situation as the previous day wouldn't occur again.

We were driving to our new home, when Merry suddenly started speaking.

"Can I ask you a question, papa Win?" Merry asked softly, her voice betraying the innocent curiosity of a small child.

"Of course you can, sweetie," I replied with a warm, reassuring smile, ready to hear her out and to answer any question she had.

"Why did those bad guys wanna kill you and papa Bright? Were they trying to do something bad?" asked Merry, her innocent face looking up at us with curiosity and concern.

We knew that she was too young to understand the whole situation, but we also knew that we needed to give her an answer that was both honest and age-appropriate.

It was important that we didn't lie and protect her from the harsh truth of the world, but we had to find the right words.

"Merry, these guys...Uh... Let me tell it this way, these guys were thiefs that were trying to steal from us."

"Ohh!! Anyway, papa Win, you were awesome yesterday! You kicked those bad guys' asses haha!!"

Merry said excitedly, her face glowing with admiration for her dad.

"Now, watch your language, Merry," I told her earnestly, attempting to be a protective and responsible parent.

"But papa Bright uses those words too," she replied back, looking at me with an expression of innocence mixed with mischievousness.

I let out a deep, weary sigh as I noticed Bright peering out the window, his gaze lost in thought.

"Papa Bright will never use those words again, right?" I asked him, but I didn't get a response.

"Bright? Are you still in this car?" I repeated, sounding a little more concerned.

"Huh? Yeah, I'm still here alive, whatcha talking about?" he replied, his tone seeming a bit confused.

"You must never use your bad words again, promise?" I insisted, my tone suddenly commanding.

He gave me a death glare and then softly looked at Merry.

"I pinky promise that I'll never use those words again."

"Oki papa Bright!! Let's pinky promise each other then."

As our ride drew to a halt, we had finally arrived at our new home.

From the outside, it resembled a mansion more than a villa, its elegance and luxury striking a perfect balance between extravagance and modernity.

The mansion's gardens were vast and spacious, offering unobstructed views of the beach from the front, while its sprawling interior was a testament to the skills a resources invested in its creation.

"Whoa!!! A HUGE playground!!" Merry shouted excitedly, her eyes sparkling with excitement when she glanced at the sprawling garden, the moment she stepped out of the car.

I couldn't help but smile at the sight of her enthusiasm, her adorable excitement a heartwarming experience.

"What is there to smile about?" P'Bright asked me, his tone dismissive and stoic:
I wondered if he was just jealous of the little girl's cuteness.

"Just look at her," I replied warmly, feeling a wave of affection towards our precious daughter. "She's so cute I'm gonna die."

"Whatever. Metawin, look I'm sleeping in that room."

What a sudden change of topics, but okay. He pointed at the bedroom with big balcony with a view to the ocean.

"Speaking of bedrooms, we have to share a bedroom together, remember?"

"Fuck."

Our shared bedroom was truly immense, boasting three spacious wardrobes and a lavish, king-sized bed.

The room was decked out in a luxurious motif, the furnishings featuring rich tones and elegant accents.

Each corner was filled with unique embellishments, like artwork or decorations, all designed to provide the residents with a sense of opulence and comfort.

We could see that the room was clearly meant for a couple, as the bed was larger than a single person would need, and there were enough wardrobes to accommodate both our belongings.

It was late at night, and Merry had already fallen asleep.

We were both still awake, completing our respective responsibilities.

After we were finished, P'Bright announced:

"Hey dipshit, I'm going to sleep on a couch."

"Okay, I don't mind as long it's you," I replied.

He rolled his eyes and then took his pillow and blanket, setting himself up on the couch.

"Goodnight P'Bright."
