"
Di, was he good?" Adhira asked me when he went out of the room and our conversations ran through my mind.
Was he good?
Yes, he was- very nice infact.
So, I nodded my head and Dhiri grinned widely before asking her another question.
"So, is it a yes?" I could see her fingers crossed and at the same time Maa and Aayu entered in the room, and they were also waiting for my answer.
And my heart suddenly started beating fast.
Is he nice? Yes he is.
Is he gentleman? Totally.
Is he family oriented? Definitely.
He is everything what I once wished in my future partner to have. There is no reason for me to say No to him, but I looked at Maa and as if she understood my inner turmoil she made me sit on the bed and sat beside me.
"Gudiya, as I told you, while taking this decision, you just have to think about yourself, not me or your siblings. Just like you want to see us happy, we also want the same bache. He is a very nice man. A kind of man, your father would've wanted for his Princess. And above that, the whole family is so nice and loving. Say no only if you didn't liked them, not because you are worried about us. Please."
I inhaled a sharp breath and thought. But everytime I thought of saying yes, my mind would remind me about Maa, Dhiri and Aayu. Won't they get alone here? Who will take care of them? How will they manage everything?
God, what should I do?
Please guide me Papa.
"Di, please don't stress your mind. Take time to think please. Even Anmol uncle and Gautam uncle said that you don't have to answer now only. You can take your time."
I looked at Aayu as he sat on his knees and held my hands. I smiled at him and realised that how grown up he is now, that he is calming me down, while it was me who used to do this to him.
"Okay, let's go outside atleast. They must be waiting for us." I nodded and we all four moved out, where I saw Radhika Aunty and Shivani Aunty were literally beaming and Anmol uncle and Gautam uncle were also smiling wide.
My gaze then locked with him, to find him looking at me only. He gave me a small smile which I tried reciprocating but with several thoughts in my mind, I managed to gave a fake smile which he guessed as he frowned, and I looked away at Radhika Aunty who spoke.
"Aastha Ji, it's a yes from our side. We would love to have Saumaya as our daughter." I felt more nervous but my heart felt giddy too when Aunty called me daughter instead of daughter-in-law. She came to me and caressed my cheek.
"Now, whatever your decision is, we don't have any problem beta. But irrespective of it, you will still be like a daughter to me." I blinked and smiled at her and Anmol uncle too caressed my head gently and for a moment I felt like, I was looking at my father, because his eyes had the same warmth as Papa.
"Take your time bache. When my son worked hard to get the position which was already his, am sure he should work more hard to have a wife like you too. Give him a tough time. I'm with you." And we heard a chorus of chuckle and even I couldn't stop myself from chuckling. And looked at him who was actually looking at us with admiration in his eyes and I looked down.
