Love is more than a noun – it is a verb; it is more than a feeling – it is caring, sharing, helping, sacrificing.

THIRD PERSON'S POV
"Glad to finally meet you Mr. Mehrotra." Doctor Nidhi was surprised when she saw Rudraksh entering in his cabin followed by Saumaya.
And it took her mere seconds to realise that Saumaya is Rudraksh's wife., who had came with her to know about the tests result.
"Can't say the same." Saumaya squeezed Rudraksh's hand which was enclosing her under the table, for his rude answer.
"Am sorry doctor ---" this time Rudraksh tugged at her hand as she muttered a sorry making her internally roll her eyes.
Doctor Nidhi who witnessed this simply smiled at the husband and wife, who seems polar opposites. Where Saumaya was gentle and sweet hearted, Rudraksh as she had already heard was rough and just himself, both depicting their names very well.
But little bit she knows that the more, the stiff man in front of her was trying to show himself to be hard, rough and stoic, his heart was literally hammering inside his chest. His hands, slick with sweat, and the relentless tapping of his foot betrayed his inner turmoil.
He was just trying to show that he was calm, but his wife knew what he was feeling, because she was feeling the same. But to be honest, her fear was more for him, than her own.
They both looked at the doctor who looked at the report with a heavy heart before meeting their gaze. "I'm sorry," she began gently, "but the results confirm that you're suffering from Vascular Malignancy Syndrome."
And for a second she felt that she was the only person in the room who was breathing. She could see Saumaya biting her lips to stop them from quivering while Rudraksh sat there unmoved, with no reaction.
But again, with the way he was clutching the edge of the table turning his knuckles white, told a different story.
For a few minutes there was only silence there, as if both were absorbing the news, or atleast they were trying to.
"H-how severe?" Saumaya asked, her voice felt heavy as she blinked away the tears forming in her eyes.
Rudraksh inhaled a sharp breath, he felt something breaking in him. At that moment all he wanted was to take her out from here. It was suffocating him, his chest was tightening with every thudded beat.
"Thankfully not a crucial stage," doctor started but both of them waited for the doctor to complete her sentence, "but the only potential cure is a complex surgical procedure called Vascular Resection, which involves the removal of the affected tissue and any surrounding malignancies."
She completed and again waited for them to absorb this news and this time she saw Saumaya's resolve breaking off as a tear slipped out of her eyes.
Rudraksh knew this. He had studied about this condition enough and he knew about the complexity of the surgery. He remembered reading that due to the delicate nature of blood vessels and the risk of significant blood loss, this surgery carries a low chance of survival (approximately 20-30%).
And as much as this scared him, he knew that right now his priority was his wife, who was literally trembling. He looked at her and felt his heart shattering as she quivered.
