THIRD PERSON'S POV
"Saumaya, here have your medicine, bache."
Saumaya got startled hearing Radhika's voice from the room, as she was staring at the sky from the balcony in their room, and she walked inside the room.
She looked at the medicine in Radhika's hand and then at her who stood there with a small smile holding the glass of water in her other hand.
Biting her lip, Saumaya took the pills from her and gulped them with the help of water, and kept the glass on the side table.
Radhika smiled at her and sat on the bed and gestured her to sit down too. Saumaya gave a fake smile to her and sat beside her on the bed looking down in her lap.
Radhika sighed and stroked her hair gently making her look at her and saw tears in her eyes, which pinched her heart. She settled herself with the support of the headboard and patted her lap, asking Saumaya silently to lay down her head there.
Biting her lip, Saumaya blinked and laid down her head in her lap and Radhika started caressing her hair lovingly.
"He is preparing soup for you, that's why sent me with your medicine." Radhika answered Saumaya's unasked question who kept laying there saying nothing.
Radhika could see her tears flowing out of her eyes and sighed. Her heart constricting seeing her children like this.
It's almost four days, when they got to know about Saumaya's condition. And since the very next day, her son is all changed. Nothing like before. He isn't talking to anyone, just giving answers whenever necessary and that too in one or two words.
His eyes are red, swollen, dark circles under them, his beard growing, hair messy, state disheveled, not at all like the proper, stoic Rudraksh Mehrotra.
And her daughter, distress and sick, most of time in pain and trying to hide that pain. Trying to hide her tears of agony, tears of seeing her husband living like a walking body who is just breathing.
Radhika and even whole family is tensed for both of them, but they won't tell anything. Rudraksh won't speak anything and they couldn't ask Saumaya, because he had clearly stated to not talk about this thing with her.
Radhika sighed and looked down to see Saumaya sleeping, the dried tear marks on her face and frowns on her forehead telling her, how she must've been feeling.
She slowly made her head lay down on the pillow and stood up before covering her body with quilt. She looked at the door when heard it opening and saw Rudraksh coming inside with the bowl of soup.
Rudraksh looked at his mother and then at his wife who was sleeping with frowns on her face and himself frowned. Radhika came near him and held his hand taking the soup bowl from him and keeping it on the table, she dragged him outside closing the door behind.
Dragging him she took him to the living area where everyone were sitting already. They saw Radhika dragging Rudraksh with him who was just following her wordless.
