                         Jason's POV

  Wednesday Evening, football field.

'It's been two days now since the incident happened.  Things between Leah and I is still tense. I haven't been able to apologise either.
...Rather, I'm not able to. Leah... is more or less avoiding me.'

..."Jason!" Coach Charles yelled, breaking me out of my reverie.

Looking at my surroundings clearly,  I realized that I was actually standing motionless on the field, with the march between our school and our rivals, the neighbouring school still on-going.

"Ahh,..." I sucked in my breath, noticing that die to my absentmindedness, we lost a goal to them.
"Jason,  cine over here for a minute. " Coach Charles called out.
I quickly ran towards him from where I was. The assistant Coach, James then hand me a bottle of water to drink.

I took it and started gulping it down,  Looking at me seriously, Coach Charles said,

"Jason what's the matter? You were frozen out there. I know the might be some matters that ur going through right now, but as of this moment I need you to get your head into the game Jason."

"Yes Coach!" I yelled out after handing the bottle back to James. Turning round, ready to get back onto the game with total focus and determination, Coach Charles called back again, "Jason"

"Yes Coach?" I turned around,  facing him.
"Go show them why your our ace player and why Lorei High School isn't easy to mess with."
"Yes Coach!" I said full of vigor and ran back onto the field.

Soon after, with everyones support, including the fans, we tied the game again and at the last extra minute,  scored the deciding goal.

The match ended 3-2, with Lorei High taking the win and the MP of the match being me, as usual, even though this time was by a slit chance.

The crowd cheered while we  huddled together, jumping on one another, bumping each other and laughing together.  In all, we were like a bunch of unruly children but I was happy with that.

After we all calmed down a little, we head towards our locker room  for a bath and change if cloths, sensing our obvious stench.

...

A while later in the locker room that was filled with chatter, most of us had already taken a shower and were drying and rubbing our hair.

"Yo Jason" Cameron, our teams captain said moving towards me.

      "Captain!" I yelled out.

""Captain!"" Seeing my actions,  everyone followed and we all burst out laughing. We always liked to tease our calm and collected Captain.

"All right, all right,  enough now, everyone back to your work" looking at the others Cameron said, laughing a little at our antiques.

"Oww yeah," looking back at me, Cameron continued, "Kayla was looking for you at the end of the hall, the crowds too rowdy for her to get over here. I told her I'll inform you when I was passing. "

Hitting my head, "Ahh, she told me she will be here, I forgot, she probably wants to congratulate us for our win."

Saying that, I hurriedly change into my track suite and rushed out at lightening speed, well as fast as I could, withouthearingthe last word of our Captain.

"Ayy, he left, I didn't even get to tell him which direction to take" Cameron said, shaking his head, "well hope he goes the right way." Shrugging,  he continued his work.

Heading left after coming out, I ran down the hallway...and ran...and ran... until I realized,

"I don't know which direction Kayla is, ayyy... well no point giving up now, I'll just checked the end of the hall and then go to check the other side, sigh, more work"

I decided to walk instead this time to preserve some energy. Whistling as I walked, I heard a somewhat familiar yet unfamiliar song.
