Kayla's POV
With Greg finally sitting down after his shock of seeing me here, 'I guess I was really the only one left behind in this mystery, but this no time to argue aboutthat right now.' I looked at Jason and continued our previous conversation.
"So as I was saying, there's an organisation behind all this anomalies..."
"Wait!" Greg interrupted my explanation, 'why I'm I constantly getting interrupted now?' I thought to my self.
"What are you guess talking about?" He asked, opening a bag of potato chips that suddenly appeared with him from nowhere at all. 'I wonder how he does that and where does he even get them from?' I thought to myself curiously eyeing Greg while Jason replied to him.
"The mystery about the change in government officials and the people who don't remember what they did!" Jason answered excitedly, he most be really happy to know that he wasn't crazy.
"Ay ay ay Jason" Greg said, shaking his head and looking like his about to get a huge headache. " I told you already that you shouldn't tell or involve anyone in this your delusional escapade! Don't tell me you actually involved Kayla in this too!?" He said pointing at me while looking at Jason query.
"Hey! It's not delusional! I'm serious! This is not something we should let to slide away without proper investigation!" Jason said righteously, trying to make his point heard.
"Sigh,..." turning around towards my direction to look at me, looking defeated, Greg said with a weak smile, "I'm sorry for involving you in this Kayla, it's just Jason being himself as usual. He's just over thinking things again, forgetting the fact that this is not a movie but reality!" I can see the tiredness in his eyes. I don't think this is the first time something like this is happening.
" I mean if its really true why is it that nobody else noticed it? Why are the police not taking any actions against it?" He explained further, given reasons to his claim. I would have also believed his claims if I was also ignorant of the situation so I don't think Greg is wrong in saying so in anyway.
Calmly looking at Greg, I said after he finished giving his reasons.
"What Jason said is true, all of them are also connected." After saying so, Jason was looking at Greg with a proud smile, while Greg unconcerned by Jason, was looking at me like I've gone crazy or have been affected by some sort of mental disease.
"Seriously!..." Greg said, mouth wide open, dumbfounded, "...don't tell me you agree with Jason's claims kayla. Don't agree with him just to make him feel better! "
Jason was now looking at me a little bit sad and in doubt, considering the fact that what Greg said might be true.
"No, I'm not saying so just to make Jason feel better." I said, before they really start to believe so. "I'm just telling the truth from my point and from what I have also noticed"
"In anyway, won't it be better to just check it out? We can just treat is as a passing time." I said when I saw Greg was about to start arguing again.
"Yes! I think that's a good idea! " Jason nodded vigorously while agreeing.
We both then looked at Greg, waiting for his answer.
"Ayyy..." Greg breathed out, then asked, "...if I still don't agree, you two are still going to go ahead with your little mystery right?" He said with a smile while we both nodded our heads. "All right then, might as well be part of it and stop you when things go too far, you have already ruined my vacation " Saying that he took another potato chip from the packet and took a bite of it, while Jason was looking like he was about to explode with joy.
...
Now that that has been settled, we decided to take our first step into solving this mystery as a team by sharing our findings with each other after a little break.Jason and Greg were sitting down on the couch focusing on me, more like Jason focusing on me and Greg just lazily lying on the couch with a fresh newly opened bag of chips, which I still don't know where he got it from! In a relaxed manner. The orb was placed on the small four cornered Square wooden table in front of them, showing Jason's discoveries in a map format and there's an extra black board that has been scribbled on with my own side of the story with a chalk which was now placed back to its position. With me standing next to the board, allowing them to have a full view of the information written.
After I gave time a chance to check out the information, I started to explain,...
"As you can see, all the anomalies are being orchestrated by this organisation,..." I pointed at the center of the board with a picture placedin the middle, "... making them the mastermind behind everything, they call themselves J.A.D.E, and..."
"Don't you mean jade?" Jason asked with a raised eyebrow.
"No, J.A.D.E" I replied to him.
"So like an acronym that is?" Greg asked, taking a bite at yet another bag of chip.
"Yes,..." I nodded to him.
"Then what does it stand for?" Jason asked, looking at me inquisitely.
"Justice Always Deploy at the End" I told them the full meaning.
"Deploy?" Greg asked.
"Yes, like to implement something, install or test it" I answered him.
"But,..." Jason looked to be in deep thought with his left hand under his chin. "...How is what they are doing in anyway justice?" He asked confusedly.
"It is not, that's if you see it from our point of view,..." I began to explain it to them. "...you know how people have this idealistic way of justice, like for instance you might see beating a teacher up for sexual harassment of a student as justified while another person will think it is not justice and that they deserveto be killed or imprisoned. I'm not saying that you are wrong or right, but it's just that people put value on the word 'justice' depending on who they are or the environment they lived it and the people surrounding them. Like whether your rich or poor, well mannered or not. A rich person can buy all the clothes in a shopping mall and see nothing wrong with it while a poor or average civilian will see it as them showing off their wealth." I stopped there, this should be enough for them to get my point.
"So,... its like their own twisted way of justice?" Greg asked, understanding my explanation.
"Yes" I nodded. Jason also caught on from the explanation and I continued.
