                         Kayla's POV

"Since when were you here?" Jason asked Leah ones she had settled down.

"An hour ago." Leah answered, grabbed my drink and put a straw in it.

"I wanted to surprise you both too. Humph! You just had to ruin it Kayla!" She said accusingly at me then took a sip of the drink.

"It's not my fault that you got caught! You were so obvious from the beginning." I defended.

"""Hahahahaha!""" We all looked at each other and laughed.

"Now then,..." Jason stated after we had all calmed down. He looked at me, "how did it go in country X?"

"Hmm." I nodded and said seriously, "I didn't fine anything in the facility. I think it was either just a false location or it was used as a hideout before."

"I see." Jason said contemplating with his head lowered.

"What about you Leah?" He said, raising his head.

The three years that we were apart didn't just pass away with us doing nothing.

After we found out about their factory three years ago, J.A.D.E was on to us.

In other to protect ourselves from them, we all went separate ways and avoided contact.

During this time, we all quietly observed the other hideout of J.A.D.E. Th was three marks on the map we saw after all.

We were lucky enough that the other marked places where places we could go without being suspicious.

Leah went for the one in country A since their family had businesses over their while I went for the one in country X.

Unlike Leah, my family didn't have any business there. But I did score a scholarship to study in any top five countries that was renowned for their Laboratory Research and Country X was among them which was helpful.

...

"Mine wasn't a complete bummer like yours Kayla." Leah said with a smile, making us look at her with interest.

"I went to the location on the map and it turned out to be a transporting company. It was hard to get inside but I was finally able to after a while." Leah said relieved.

"I asked some questions regarding the situation making sure that I didn't give them any hints that I was on to them," she continued.

"But sadly, it ended being just an ordinary transportation company. " Leah moved her hands in a disappointed way.

At that, we all got disappointed too. I looked at Jason and asked,

    "What about you, Jason?"

Jason was left to continue to observe the factory here in country M just incase the might come back or he could find other clues. His our last hope regarding J.A.D.E now.

"Sorry but I didn't find anything suspicious." Jasom said.

"Does that mean we don't have any lead to them?" I asked.

"I am not sure about this but, when I checked the background of the factory, I did find something suspicious..." Jason said with his chin held.

"That is...?" I asked when he didn't continue anymore.

"Although it was covered, its being owned by an orphanage." He said.

"Uhmm... it can be that the owned it a long time ago?" I suggested.

"No." Jason rejected my idea strongly. "It got own just a few years ago. What will an orphanage want with an abandoned factory?"

"What's the name of the orphanage?" Leah, whom had been quite for a while now, asked.

"Hmm... what was it again? I didn't really think it was suspicious until a moment ago." Jason said in thought, trying to recall the name.

"Mike! It was called Mike's Orphanage!" Jason exclaimed.

"I thought so!" Leah said calmly as if figuring out the whole puzzle.

We both looked at her waiting for an explanation, realising that, she looked at us and said seriously.

"I didn't find anything suspicious or anything relating to J.A.D.E..." she said the same thing as before then continued,

"...but it did bug me when I saw that an orphanage ordered a large amount of food that I thought was too much even if one wanted to preserve them. It didn't add up because it was the first time they ordered such an amount."

She then looked at the table thoughtfully, "I thought it might be for an event so I didn't burden much with it. But now that you said so..." she looked at Jason, "...it is the same orphanage that you mentioned. Mike's Orphanage!"

"The problem is, how does that and Mike's Orphanage all relate to J.A.D.E? We can't just accuse an organisation like that." Jason reasoned out.

"When I asked about it, I was told that they used to order their regularly too. It was only last month that they had such a big order." Leah futher explained.

"Let's stop here for now. We need to have solid proof and not just our speculations." I said and they both hummed in agreement.

"Alryt! We need to also chill and relax too! It is the first time we are seeing each other again after a while. No need to be on edge!" Leah said laughingly.

     "You..."

     "Your right! Hahaha!"

I started off wanting to make her see that what we are talking about is serious but I was cut off by Jason.

"Sigh! What should I do with you both." I said dejectedly which only fueled their laughter.

...

"We should get together more often, don't you think?" Leah asked ones we got out off Fruits Yogurt.

     "Definitely."

           "Yes."

Jason and I both agree with her.

"Hop on, let me take you two home. I am done with work for the day so I have time to spare." Jason offered with a smile, pointing at his car a distance a way.

"Sorry, Uncle Joe all ready said he would come get me. His on his way now. I just got a call from him."

I rejected his offer politely. It won't be nice to send Uncle Joe back after calling to inform me that they were on their way a while ago.

"OK. I understand." Jason said with a smile. "What about you Leah?"

"Can't do." Leah rejected also and held my arm clingingly. "I'm going to join Kayla for some sister bonding!"

"Ayyayyay!" Jason shook his head in defeat. "You two always like to look for an opportunity to throw me at the side."

"Hahaha! Well you aren't a girl after all. You should expect that we will eventually throw you from the group." Leah laughed out and said in jest.

    "Humph!"

Jason heaved and folded his hands on his chest with anger. You can see his smile from the side though.

"""Hahahahaha!!!""" We all laughed together. The day ended up having a nice tune to it.
