"Really?" I asked Leah, who was sitting down opposite me, taking a sip of my strawberry milkshake.

"What!?" She replied, looking at me, acting all innocent.

"Sigh,..." I shook my head, knowing full well how she would continue to act innocent and deny it.

We continued our meal while we cut up on lost time, with me having chocolate cake and a strawberry milkshake, ahh my favourite, I can even droll over it by just thinking about it. And Leah having, apple pie with a blueberry ice cream, also her favourite.

...

"So when are you going to fix things between you and Jason?" I asked breaching the topic, after finishing my chocolate cake and was now sipping my milkshake.

"Ayyy,..." Leah sighed then looked up at me, keeping her utensils. "...is was also why you suggested we should come here right? Your just buttering me up!" She eyed me while I just gave her a simple smile not answering her question.

"And I'm guessing you all ready invited him here right?"

"Yep" I answered her, while she looked like she was about to explode.

"Ayyyyy, what can I do?" She said looking at me dejectedly. "You were always the peace maker between us, what can we do without you?" She smiled at me then continued eating her apple pie.

"Hmm,..." I made a thinking gesture with my hands on my chin. "...you both will probably fight every day like cats and dogs, hahaha."

"Yeah, your right." We both laughed at the thought.

...

"Also make sure you clear up the fact that you didn't travel because of what happened. He's probably thinking so." I told her after a while.

"Ayyy, All right!" She said defeatedly, "That's why you always said that whenever we argued,  we shouldn't stay angry with each other ti the point where the night falls without us solving it." She took the last piece of her pie.

"Yes" I said smiling at her. We then waited for Jason to come.

...

"Hi guys!" Jason yelled, walking towards our table and sat at my side of the cushion.

"Hi Jason" I replied then turned my sight to Leah, who was trying to act as if she didn't heard him, fuming. I kicked her leg from under the table, she looked up at me as if saying, 'what?' I warned her with my eyes. She looked at Jason, "Hi Jason" in a forced manner. Sigh, this is gonna take some effort.

Jason seeing her reaction looked sadden, "I...umm...Leah?" He said trying to make a sentence and get her attention. Leah didn't even turn to look at him. I gave him an encouraging smile when he turned in my direction for help.

Taking a breath, Jason said sincerely. "I'm sorry about last time, I shouldn't have acted that way."

He looked at me again and I gave him a thumbs up. Leah, still with her head facing down, didn't say anything. Jason looked at me worriedly.

"Leah, you should at least say something " I told her but no reply.

   "Leah?" Jason said, concerned.

     Leah slowly looked up and,...

"Uwahhhhh! I'm nut angry about that! I'm sad that I means alot when I wasn't here! Uwaahhhh!" Leah cried out and said dejectedly. "You guys had so much adventures while I was gone! uwaaahh!"

"Would you stop acting like a child?! You hurting my eyes and making many people turn our way." I said looking around the shop, seeing the weird looks the people were sending us.

"Wait! What?" Jason said confused. "What is she talking about?" He asked me.

"You both went to Country N, had a ski trip and got the opportunity to solve a mystery!" Leah yelled out right when I was about to explain. "You had a fun and relaxing trip without me!" She was now looking at us with wronged eyes.

Jason looked more confused now, "I told her about the trip" I explained. "Oww!" He said understandingly.

"Uwaaaahhhh! You guys,..." Leah continued to nag for about five minutes before finally deciding to keep quiet. Those five minutes can give anyone a headache.

"Hahaha, it's nice having you back Leah " Jason said with a smile.

"Yeah! I know!" Leah said dramatically, looking at her nails while smiling. 'Sigh, her ego just keeps on getting bigger.'

"You know, you should really stop encouraging her theatrical acts." I said looking at Jason.

"Why kayla? Ate you jealous of me now?" She smiled smugly at me.

"Hah,..." I scoffed. "It's funny how you think so," I looked at her, "I'm just worried that your head might explode because of your inflating ego."

"Hey!..." Leah exclaimed shocked, Jason and I both laughed at her expression and soon Leah was also laughing.

'I've missed this little banter we have.'

...

"So what's our first move" Leah said taking her second bowl of blueberry ice cream.

"You want to talk about it here?" Jason asked looking around us.

"Yeah! What's wrong with here?" Leah said, not understanding Jason's point.

"I mean, umm..." Jason said, looking for the right words. "Isn't it a bit crowded here?"

Looking around us, Leah said, " I get what you mean but doesn't that make it safer? No one will suspect anything. Especially with how often we come here. And if we were to choose  different place like our house per chance, it will be more risky with the butler and maids and it will take time to go back, and suspicious since we just left." Leah stated out her reasons. "Also, which is the most important reason of all, we can get to eat while were at it." She said happily munching on her tarts.

I'm sure that's the actual reason she wants to do it here.

I faced Jason and said, "Let's just do it here, it will be faster, we're also sited at the far corner, the shop has a good network and I brought my laptop knowing that Leah would suggest this if she was informed about it." I took out my laptop that I kept in my back that was placed on the floor, at my side.

"OK. I also brought the orb" Jason said taking out the orb from his shirts pocket and placing it on the table, close to his macaroons and vanilla yogurt.

"Then should we call Greg over?" I asked Jason, keeping my laptop on the table after moving my chocolate milkshake to the side.

"Greg's Jason's step brother who is more like a brother to him, right?" Leah asked, remembering what I told her a while ago.

"Right" I nodded to her, while she patted herself, satisfied by herself. 'Ahh, her ego is really getting too much.' I thought to myself then faced Jason, waiting for him to make the call.
