Greg's POV
I left the room and went down the hall that lead to the lounge area, fuming in anger.
I know I should have checked Jason's bag before we left for the trip, I expected this, I really did, I just thought that maybe, just this ones, I should trust him not to bring work on a vocation.
But noooo, he just had to bring it, the worse is that my vaca is now ruined, had a gut feeling that something like this might happen, I should have trusted my guts.
I walked further down the hall, stomping my feet in anger and movingmy hands in the air, but not too loud so as not to awaken or disturb the other residents.
Of course I'm angry! Who won't be? Try making a deal with the CEO of a renowned gaming company and see if you can go out unscattered! Even if you think you won, that's not true! Because, one way or the other you lost something! You just haven't realised it yet!
Heading towards the left turn leading to the lunge area without looking up,...
"Ahh,... hey!" I accidentally bumped into a middle aged woman.
"Are you blind?!" She asked in anger.
"Watch were your going!" The middleaged woman yelled.
"I'm really sorry! I wasn't looking " I bent down a little to give my sincerest apology.
"You children's nowadays, always in a rush! Not caring about we old aged! What has the world turned into!?" The woman just walked pass me, saying those words in rage.
After she left, I breathed in and out to calm my self down.
'This is no time to be angry, we have to fine the orb before anyone else does. What's happened has already happened, we can't go back in time ' I mumbled to myself .
Finally calming down, I went to the place we sat before in the lounge, to look for the orb.
....
I have searched all the possible places, both the place we sat, on the white couch, and the surrounding. I even searched under the couch.
I most have looked like a madman to the people passing by because the receptionist, who was originally standing at her place of work, attending other guest, came over to me with a professional smile, asking me what I was doing.
Laughing awkwardly with my right hand on the back of my neck, I told her, "my brother lost something and I'm trying to help him find it by tracing back our steps."
"Owww " she muttered with a knowing look on her face. 'I think this is not the first time they have heard such complains' I thought.
"All right, you can just leave the details of the missing object here with us so that if we later find it, we will inform you" She recommended kindly.
"Uhmm... its ok, its not really something worry worthy about, I don't want to worry others with this" I told her, we can't have someone else mistakingly getting a hold of the information inside, even if it will reduce our chances of finding it faster, at least it will also lessen the risk.
"Ow no, don't worry, many items get lost now and then, and it usually ends up being found by us or the cleaners the next day, our resort puts great effort in our guest's wellbeing above all. It's part of our job!" She said righteously, ready to go into action as soon as I give her the details.
'Ahhh this might get out of hand if I don't do anything now' I thought. I took out my phone from my pocket and pretended to sigh in relief.
"Ahhh, would you look at that" I turned my attention to her, "my brother just sent me a message five minutes ago stating that he has found it and that there's no need to look for it anymore " I told her, still keeping my act together.
