"Weeeell,..." Jason dragged his word, "he can't make it." He said avoiding eye contact."Why?" I chuckled because of the way his acting.
"Weeeell,.." He dragged again, still avoiding our eyes.
"Jason!" Leah said sternly.
"All right!" Jason looked at us, knowing full well he couldn't hide the truth from us. "A week ago after the trip,..."

Monday Night,
Dinner Time,
Walker's mansion.Jason's POV
We were having our dinner of steak in the dining room, with dad sitting on the heads chair, he always made sure to be at home and have dinner with us no matter how busy he was, and all of us had to do the same. It was a family rule that was established by mom after she got married to dad, one that even he couldn't object to. Greg sitting opposite to me while the last seat was meant for mom (a/n: his step mom) but it was empty now. Mom went to visit her parents whom were on a vacation in the countryside of country M. Mom has a family lineage of medical doctors, including herself. They own a hospital of their own. She's going to spend a week there. She left on Saturday last week after we left for our trip and is scheduled to come back this week Monday.
"So how was the trip?" Dad asked us after he was done with his food.
"It was fun, educating and exciting!" I said, then I retold about all the things we did and saw while we were there, apart from the whole orb fiasco.
"Wow!..." dad looked impressed. "...you two surely enjoyed yourself. Glad I gave you permission. " dad seemed happy to here about the trip and with the fact that he let us go.
'Phew,...' I sighed in relieve. 'I thought something bad might happen like,...'85
"Oww, and Greg,..." dad turned to Greg, who was awfully quite throughout this whole meal, which was so unlike him, looked startled by his name being called. "...there's something I want to discuss with you, meet me at my study room in thirty minutes."
'Ahhh, I spoke too soon.' I thought to myself.
"Yes father." Greg said reluctantly.
'Ah he said father instead of dad, this doesn't look good.' I turned to dad, his eyes were twinkling seeing the resigned look on Greg. 'I should help him out here.'
Determined, I said. "Umm, dad,..." oh no,...
"Yes Jason?" Dad said looking at me. "Do you need anything or do you also want to come to my study with Greg here?" Dad smiled with his hands on top of Greg's chair. 'Ahhh, no way. I can't do this. With the way dad is smiling devilishly right now, anything I say is like walking straight to a land mine.'
"No, nothing." I smiled back, "o just wanted to say good night. " I hurriedly left my seat with Greg looking at me like I am a traitor and dad looking disappointed that I didn't fall into his trap.
'Sorry bro, I tried. Ican only pray for you now.' I thought to myself and left for Greg's room.
...
I'm now sitting down on Greg's couch with a bag of potato chips, it's really comfy, awaiting the end result of,... 'The Talk'.
After a long time, about an hour or so, Greg walked in, dispirited, went towards his king size bed and flopped on it. Silently grumbling to himself.
Keeping the game console back on the table, I walked forward and sat on the other empty side of the bed closer to him.
"Umm, hey bro,..." "Argggghh " I attempted to speak but Greg but spoke me off with a grumble.
"So how was it?" Acting as if I don't understand what he meant, I asked.
"Dad said his going to send me to Country X" He mumbled with his face facing the bed side but I heard him.
"Wait! Isn't that the country were the government has no say in it? Ruled by several major business tycoons?" I asked him.
"Yes" He turned his head to my side and answered. 'Wow! That place is like an outcast. Ruled by outlaws.'
"Ayyysh, sorry bro, if mom was here, she would have probably known how to help you out" I sighed.
"Yeah," Greg turned around and sat properly on the bed. "That's why his planning to send me there before mom comes back, hah,..." He scoffed. "I'm sure he will make sure that I can't contact her too. I need my chips." He then started looking for his chip.
"I don't think you'll find it,.." I said avoiding eye contact.
"Oww come on bro! That was the last bag!" He said then fell back on his bed. 'Ahh, I guess I shouldn't have eaten it. Sigh.'

♤♤♤Present ♤♤♤Kayla's POV
"Ahahahahaha,..." Leah burst out in laugher as soon as Jason told us what happened, holding her stomach in the process, after making people turn their attention back to us while I just used my milkshake to hide the smile that was about to break out.
"So that means he's going to be gone for a while?" I asked, amused.
"Yeah,..." Jason sighed then took a gulp of his yogurt. " it doesn't look like father is going to let him come back that easily, especially with how he has always wanted Greg to help our with the business, " he smiled weakly, sitting sluggishly, "but you know how Greg is, as long as he can avoid it, he will. So I'm sure father must have been thrilled to have Greg owe him." He sat down properly, "one thing I do know is that, as soon as Greg gets an opportunity, I won't be surprised to see him back one bit." He laughed. 'That does sound like him.' I thought to myself with a smile.
"Hahaha, all right, now I gotta meet this Greg guy. " Leah said, wiping the tears that had form at the side of her eyes.
"But now back to business. " I said then shifted the laptop to Jason's side. " I have already entered J.A.D.Es website, so see if you can hack it."
"Alryt!" Jason yelled excited, cracking his knuckles together while Leah scooted over closer to us, beside Jason, excitedly looking at the system.
