                     Leah's POV

"Don't you think it's high time you wake up?!" I heard thus shrill like voice that made my head pain me.

      'It's dark.' I thought.

"Wake up and take a look at your new home. We don't have all day after all. More like you don't have. Hahaha!" The voice continued.

"Ow yeah! The blindfold!" I heard a smacking noise, then suddenly I was blinded by the light that sipped in after the blindfold was removed.

"So, do you like it?!" Though blurry, the woman seem to have twirled around.

I felt around, my hands were tied, the same as Kayla and Jason's. It seems like we were all trapped in a cage.

'What happened?' I thought to myself though my head was blurry.

'I think we came to a factory of some sort...?' I wasn't sure.

After regaining my sight, I looked up and was shocked by the person in front of me.

"MUM!" Kayla screamed out. She seems to be having a breakdown. But that's when everything became clear. How it all lead up to this.

...

Kayla was devastated when we found out that the symbol inside her parents jewelry was the password.

It further revealed a map showing three spots in different countries, one of ot being Country M.

We agreed on coming to the one here and looked for the location. Then we found out that it was an abandoned factory and make plan to come the next day.

Throughout the procedure nobody talked. Jason and I were both on edge and tensed seeing the look on Kayla.

Later on when it was time to go back home, Kayla suddenly asked whether she could stay with me. She was afraid that I'd she went back home the way she was, she might straight up ask her parents about it.

She didn't want to do such a thing because the was still a chance that all this was a misunderstanding.

I didn't know what to say...no, I couldn't say anything because I was afraid of the effect it might have. No one would want anything like that to happen.

I know her parents, and one thing I can say it's that they are really such nice people. I could never believe that the hurt anyone.

So I agreed to her plea. I think she also needs some time to figure things out first.

...

The Next Day.

We came to the abandoned factory early in the morning. Kayla seems to have collected herself back together.

I think she's trying hard to keep herself together so that we won't worry much. Even at this moment she's thinking about us instead of herself.

She's always acted older than her age since when we were small. Like Jason said, she's more like an older sister to us than a friend.

That's why I don't want her to be sad or distressed. I took her hand and squeezed it gently, silently assuring her that we were here for her. She looked at me and mouthed a small 'thank you.'

We all then stepped into the factory, and like it said, it surely was abandoned, it might have been years since it was last in usage.

It was dusty and had a lot of cobwebs. Luckily we all wore boots. The was machinery of different kinds sprawled all over. It used to be a textile factory before but the were more machines than just the one for textile. Like the test tube I almost knocked off a while ago.

"Psst! Guys, over here!" Jason whispered. There's a possibility of someone being here after all.

Kayla and I both walked towards his direction to find a door at the back. By the way, I wore all black like a ninja. I wanted to cheer up Kayla even I'd just like little but sadly, it didn't work. Sad face emoji.

When we reached there, Jason opened the door slowly, then he tucked his head in.

"I don't think there's anyone inside for now." He said then opened the door wider for us to step in.

Being the last to step in, after kayla that is, what welcomed me was a brightly lit laboratory.

"What in the world is going on here?" I asked. 'Isn't this supposed to be am abandoned factory? Why is there a hidden laboratory inside?'

      "PAH!"

I quickly turned around to face the source of the sound.

"Did you close the door?" Jason asked.

    "No! I didn't!" I replied.

"It's locked!" Kayla said, jiggling the door nob.

Before we could comprehend what was happening or how to get out of here...

"What's that?!" I exclaimed seeing smoke coming out of the air conditioner.

"Cough! Cough! Cough!" We all started to cough uncontrollable.

My body started to feel limp and soon my vision became blurry. 'What...what's going on?'

      "Oh no! Cough! I think...cough... its...cough...cough sleeping gas...cough...cough!"

That was the last thing I heard Kayla say before I went unconscious.

...

"Don't yell silly girl! It's too early in the morning for that." Mrs Smith smiled.

"Why are you doing this! Mum!" Kayla managed to squeeze out.

"Ow it's easy actually!" Mrs Smith walked around the cage in her lab coat.

"Because I can. Hahhaha! It's hilarious! The look on your face! Hahhaha!"

'That's weird. I know it's not the time to dilly daddle but if this was a movie or game and she's supposed boss villain, isn't she supposed to have a reason for her villainy?'

'Even if it's something that looks supposedly insignificant or superficial? Yes, they are some who don't have a plan, but I don't think that's the same.'

"Silly child, don't cry. You all ready knew the truth from the beginning, didn't you?" Mrs Smith laughed evilly.

"What do you mean?" Jason asked confused, the same as me.

"Ow!" Mrs Smith closed her mouth with her hand, then a smile stretched out.

"You didn't tell them, did you?" She asked Kayla who seemed too shock to talk.

"Kayla?" Jason asked in a low tone but kayla kept quite.

"Hahaha! Amazing! Fantastic! Hahaha!" Mrs Smith held her stomach due to excessive laughter. Her voice is starting to annoy me.
