Jason's POV
"Sir, here's the files you asked for." Jane, my assistant said dropping the files on my desk.
"Thank you Jane, you can leave now. Close the door on your way out." I thanked her then took a file from the ones she brought and looked through it.
Halfway through the first file, I looked at my watch. It read 2 o'clock in the afternoon. 'There's still time left.' I thought.
It has been three whole years now since I last saw them. I don't know about them but for me, things have surely changed over the years.
I am now the vice president of Walter's Corp along side with my bro, Greg.
They both of us still go to college. Dad said that he didn't want us to drop school because of him. 'Hah, we really did misjudge dad as a money loving person' I laughed awkwardly internally.
So he assigned us with amazing assistants like Jane that manage our schedules in such a way that one didn't interfere with the other.
Greg being Greg, was his usual self. He works for a small amount of time and munch on his chips for the remaining or play games.
The staff their have all ready gotten used to it to the point that no one raises any questions anymore. It's not because the fear him after all, we all have a good working relationship with our staff.
Greg, despite being lazy and nonchalant, works efficiently and fast. He always gets his assigned work done before the scheduled time and goes back to his office to enjoy himself.
Dad was displeased by this attitude of his so he jumps right away to send Greg for any business work that involves travelling. Even though Greg still manages to always come back early.
Hahaha, it's always nice seeing Dad get angry by Greg's trips. Even so, Dad still loves us both.
The was this time that I asked Greg why he comes back after he has completed his work. I mean he could just take the remaining of the time to rest.
Don't get me wrong, I love my brother. I was just curious that's all. His answer was even more amusing though.
'If I do that, then I can't see that hilarious expression on Dad's face.' He said then mischievously. I couldn't stop myself from laughing that time.
...
"Sir, you need to get ready or you will be late for your meeting with your friends." Jane said from the door after I gave her permission to enter.
"Oh no!" I looked at the time. It was all ready 3:45, I would not have noticed if not because of Jane.
"Thank you Jane!" I said then stood up abruptly and took my coat. The season is starting to change and winter is on its way.
I hurriedly entered the car with the driver waiting for me inside and we took off.
It will take a while to reach there. I know I won't be the first to reach there but at least I won't be late thanks to Jane.
The first to be there will most likely be Kayla since she's the most punctual among us.
...
I walked in to the familiar place, Fruits Yogurt. It has surely changed since three years ago.
I use to come here whenever I got the chance so I'm not surprised. Kayla and Leah will surely be surprised.
I walked to our usual area and saw the backside of a woman looking at her phone. It's is most likely Kayla. I walked forward to her.
"Yo." I said calmly. She turned around and seem to be caught surprised.
"It has been quite a long time, don't you think?" I said tp her with a smile.
"Yes, it surely has, Jason." She replied with a beautiful smile.
"So how have you been doing, Kayla?" I said as I sat down in the opposite direction to her. 'She's still punctual as always.' I thought to myself.
"Good." She said. "What about you?"
"The same as usual as you can see!" I said comically which made her laugh.
"It seems you have grown taller this pass years." Kayla commented.
"You think so too?" I asked.
"Yeah." She said.
"When did you get back? How was your trip?" I asked her then took a sip of my glass of water.
"I just got back. It was pleasant." She replied which surprised me.
"You could have at least rested. We could have changed the meeting day after all." I suggested.
"That's not right, it might have interfered with your own plans too. We all planned to get together today." She argued back.
"Still, your health is still more important and we would have understood!" I strongly put my points out.
"OK! OK! I get it. I'm sorry. I'll put that in mind next time if there's. " She agreed.
I sighed and shook my head. She's most likely to do it again. That's how she is to begin with.
We talked a little more. It was now 4:45. 15 minutes had all ready passed since I got here but no sign of Leah.
"Do you think she forgot?" I asked Kayla. It will be normal if she did, it wasn't the first time to happen.
"No. She's here." Kayla said and I looked at her confusedly. She smiled and took her hand up. She put three fingers out and gradually closed them up one by one as I watched her carefully.

"Heyyaaaaaaaaaaa!" I heard a loud scream from a woman that stood behind Kayla. Her hands were raised up. She then engulfed Kayla in a hug.
"How long where you planning to keep quiet?" Kayla asked calmly.
"Awwwn! When did you notice?" The woman pouted.
"Since I came in. You weren't discreet at all." Kayla said as the woman released her and sat close to her.
She turned in my direction and said, "Hi Jason!" With a smile.
"Hi Leah." I replied. Yep, it couldn't be anyone else apart from her. I see she's still the same way she was three years ago. As joyful as ever.
