Jason's POV
"Argggghh, this is killing me," I groaned as I felt another wave of nausea coming up.
'Greg doesn't get it' I thought to my self as I lay down on my bed in a more comfortable position.
'Carriage rides and jet rides are two completely different way of transportation. One has to do with riding on four hooves, which by the way, it's not steady, at all! While the other has to do with riding by air, anyone journey ask will surely say that it's way more steadier than riding carriages. '
I mumbled to my self before I was attack by yet anotherwave if nausea. I really need to find something to distract me and get my mind off of the carriage ride.
Sighing, I stood up from the bed and took my backpack that was thrown on the floor right after I came in and started looking for the orb.
Looking through my bag, albeit slowly, I removed the camera from so as not to obstruct my view.
'This is strange,' I thought, laughing a little to avoid getting anxious.
I started checking the bag with more speed after not finding it where I kept it. Growing more anxious and worried at the same time, I poured out all the contents of my bag on the bed, which by the way was not much.
'Alright, just like I kept them,' I looked at the now scattered objects on the bed and started to call them all according to how I kept them.
'My camera, phone, two snack bars just incase I felt peckish, and... the orb...oh no...' I raised the bag, thinking that it might be under it. To my surprise, not really, it wasn't.
'"Where's the orb!" I yelled out, threw the bag and started to search the room, more like destroy the room, raising the bedsheet, throwing the pillows in the floor, looking under the bed, going to the drawee and throwing our clothes on the bed, checking inside the bathroom. I checked every possible place I could think of that it might be, even the places where there's no way it could get there, like on top of the drawers.
The more I check, the more frantic and nervous I got, I was starting to turn into a mad man looking for the orb, and the worse thing was, which I thought was good before, that the orb was small , the size of a grape, how I'm I supposed to find it now.
Who knows where it could have probably fall of, it might not even be in the room, what if ut fell on the snow?! What if it roll off to somewhere far?!
"Ahhh !" I yelled out, grabbing my hair, almost pulling it out before...
"Yo Jason, I got the meds from the clinic " Greg, my saviour by the way came in, looking at the small bag with the medicine inside,
"The nurse said that you need to take..." He paused, caught surprised by the now messy room and my horrid self, trying to figure outwhat might have happened.
Keeping silent, he moved to the middle of the room, put back the table and couch in order, kept the medicine, sat down on the couch and looked at me with a relaxed expression.
"So would you care to explain why the room is so messy?" He said, with a gentle smile playing on his lips, raising his right eyebrow and looking at me with wonder and amusement flickeringin his eyes.
Choosing to pretend I didn't see the joy his getting seeing me like this, I let go of my hair and started to explain as calmly as I could,
"I lost the orb!" After internally deciding on how I could explain the situation to him, this was I best I could think of right now.
Looking at me questioningly, Greg said, "what orb? The green ones? I thought you left it at home. "
"Yes the green one! I brought it over!" I said, seeing that we are both kn the same topic.
"Duuuude! Why did u brink it over? We're on vacation Jason, VACATION, nobody brings work over during vacation, then what's the point?" Greg said, sitting straight up from the couch, surprised and angry at what I did.
OK I know, I shouldn't have done with all the effort Greg put into letting us enjoy this wonderful holiday. Especially convincing our parents, I know it wasn't an easy feet to do that, he probably had to compromise or made a deal with them to get us hear.
"I am really sorry Greg, I know what I did wad wrong and I shouldn't have done it. Please forgive " I looked at him and sincerely apologise and asked for forgiveness.
"Ayyysh, its ok, it has already happened now" Greg sighed then calmed down, reverting back to his relaxed position like nothing happened before.
"So what's the problem if you lost it? There's nothing really relevant or of importance in the orb," taking a bite of his chip, which I'm not sure where he got it from, he said relaxed, with no idea at all the other things kept jn the orb.
"Well..." I dawdle, avoiding eye contact. Buy from the side of my eye, I could see him staring at me.
"Well what, Jason?" Greg asked, all serious again.
'The cat is out of the bag now, might as well spill everything. ' I said to my self.
"You know dad was working on a project for their latest video game, right?" Greg nodded, patiently waiting for me to continue.
"So dad asked me to help him with the security of the game, to create a fire wall infact, because you know I'm good at coding and programming, not to brag" I said, in a failed attempt to lighten up the mood, which earned me a, 'are you really trying to act smug in the situation that your in right now' from Greg.
Getting back on track, I continued, " so I decided to keep it in the orb, thinking that it will be the safest place to keep it since I'll be taking it around with me."
Greg was now processing the information i am rapidly throwing on him.
" What an irony!" I sighed, "and the problem doesn't stop their!... All the key points to that project is also there! Dad spent alot of money on this project too!"
I started panicking again, "Dad is not just going to be angry, his probably going to skewer me alive! You know how dad doesn't like losing money jn his business!"
I had technically thrown away all reasons and was looking at Greg, like a Saint coming to save the world.
"Oww please, grap a tissue and blow away your snot" Greg said joking and laughing, trying to get me to calm down.
Seeing that I'm not in the mood to joke, he stopped his little tease and said,
"Calm down first" I did as he said and tried to calm myself down, after I calmed down a little, he continued, "you search the room again, maybe there's a place u left behind or didn't search well because you were anxious, and I'll go search the lounge area since we were there last and the hall."
"What if I fell outside?" I asked.
"It didn't, your bag was only opened when we stayed at the lounge go rest and you then took out your camera to show us the pics despite your sickly appearance. " Greg explained thinking of possible solutions and handling everything calmly.
"Okay" I replied. I had to fix my the mess I caused.
After that, Greg left the room to search the lounge area and hall while I began to search the room more carefully this time.
