The one and only way to keep up with Wattpad notifications is to enable email alerts. Sure, the regular flow of emails in your inbox will be interrupted by a Wattpad alert now and then, but it saves a lot more time than chasing a notification all over Wattpad.
Yes, all over the site. There's this nonsense of not being able to leave or even properly see inline comments from the browser. By that I mean that when you select a comment, the part of the text it's in reference to isn't shown, so half of the comments don't make sense unless you a) open the app and check that comment from there, or b) open your email and view the comment there. You may be thinking what's the big deal about keeping up with comments, but I like having conversations under my chapters with fellow Wattpadders.
It's easy enough to prevent Wattpad emails from diverting your attention from regular emails in your inbox: set up an email divert folder (or whatever it's called) for Wattpad emails. That means, selecting the email address, putting a filter on it, and checking the folder in the sidebar for Wattpad emails while the main inbox remains clutter-free. Not that I've done this--I've thought about doing it, and once upon a time I set up several filters to redirect some of my newsletters out of my main inbox--but it is a comfort to know that I can do this once my vacation is over and I can no longer check my email several times a day.
Today is Inaya's update day. Meaning, I've put up the next part of her story. It's interesting how, of all the characters that have ever lived in my imagination, she is of the few that I have decided to make public, whereas the majority of the others may not even see the light of day. Support the birth of new characters by going to catch the latest update!
Do you ever set email filters, or subscribe to email alerts or newsletters in the first place?
