**Akira's POV**

𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐘𝐒𝐈𝐃𝐄 𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐃 past my open window, as I enjoyed the silence between Myles and I whilst rain splattered lightly on my skin. Last night, we had gone for a drive around the city, getting to know each other better. Right before I left the car to go inside the house, he kissed me. I touched my lips with my fingertips softly, recalling what he had felt like.

Myles seemed to be in a pissed off mood today when I had first clambered into the car, but now he looked a little more relaxed. Suddenly, the car puttered to a stop.

"Um-" I looked at Myles.

He scowled at the car, slamming his hand on the wheel. "What the fuck?"

I watched as he clambered out of the car to inspect it. He closed the bonnet, before getting back into the driver's seat, starting the car once more. He cursed again, looking at his phone. "Do you have reception?"

I glanced at my phone. SOS. "No, sorry."

Myles stuck his hand in the air, fingers folded over his phone as he searched for reception, even sticking his hand out of the window at one point.

"Myles, I tried to lighten the mood, "I guess we've travelled too many miles huh?"

He sent me a withering look. I began to speak again, only for him to cut me off. "Don't. Not right now."

"I'm just trying to help," I replied, feeling more hurt than I probably should have been feeling.

"Well, it's not helping. God, just shut up, will you? You're giving me a headache." He rubbed his temple, before pinching his nose and glancing at his phone again.

I looked out my window, before winding it up as the rain started to get heavier. The storm was moving in this direction. Checking my phone once more, I leaned back in my chair. What on earth had gotten into Myles?

He dejectedly threw his phone into the side pocket, turning around to grab the umbrella in the backseat, "I'm going to take a look again."

As he climbed out of the car, I closed my eyes, replaying the moment the car stopped. It was a red flag honestly, but knowing who he was justified some of his behaviour. Yep, that's right, I had let my curiosity get the better of me.

Myles climbed back in, starting the car once more, letting out a loud sigh of relief when it cooperated with him. He looked over at me expectantly, "Do you want to go back?"

"Yeah, let's go," I replied softly.

Myles stopped on the street outside of the house, stopping the car and turning to look at me. "Sorry for how I acted earlier. I wasn't having a good day, I've been stressed with some work."

"I know, just..." I paused, thinking back to my aunt and uncle. "Just don't do it again, okay?"

"It's hard because I grew up in a world where the only way to express yourself was through anger and violence," Myles chewed his lip, flexing his fingers into a fist.

I let out a laugh, "Believe me, I know."

His raised an eyebrow, "I have a feeling you know more than I think you do."

"Maybe."

I opened the car door, about to clamber out, when he caught my hand quickly, "I'll try to be better."

Scanning his face, I leant in and pressed a soft kiss to his lips, drawing back a small smile on my face.

"I know."
