A New Friend.
As the strange figure knocked me to the ground and stood in between me and the bear, I heard it growl- When I looked up and got a better look I could see it better and could tell what animal it was- a wolf... It-... Sorry, she. Has raven black fur with beautiful marbled markings- It's hard to explain... And she also has emerald green eyes- such a beautiful creature. She growled loudly at the bear, who roared back angrily, after a few more barks and growls the bear randomly backed off which isn't normal. Bears can take down wolves and wolf packs easily- Why did this one just walk away-?... After the bear left she turned back to me and smiled- at least- the best a wolf can smile-. She walked over and sat down next to me, leaning her head against my arm as if to check that I was ok. "I'm fine... Thanks to you," She stares at me and licks my nose, to which I laugh and pet her on the head. Her fur is incredibly soft, almost like the fur of a Maine coon cat-. She laid down next to me, laying her head in my lap, my hand still running through her fur.
"You're so much nicer than all the other wolves I've met... where's your pack?"
It's strange for a wolf to be without their pack, she looks up at me sadly, pointing to a small fire that was burning a piece of cloth.
"Ah.... Are you alone as well? So am I. ... Don't worry, I'll be your new pack."
Many people think wolf packs are just a band of wolves who fight together, but that's not true, They're more like extended families. She looks up at me and licks my nose again, and I smile, which I haven't done in a while. We sit there until dusk, then when she's asleep, I pick her up and carry her to my den, laying her down and starting a small fire to keep us warm since Winter is approaching. I lay down next to her and slowly drifted off to sleep.
