Marco, Polo. Back again.
I was walking towards the other's voices when they suddenly started yelling Marco-. "POLO!" I shouted back and started walking in the direction of their voices, but while I was walking I felt the wind change direction and I suddenly got a strange feeling-... Like-.... I shouldn't be there-... I look back and see only darkness behind me-... with a strange figure from behind a tree-.... the cat from my dream... I start running towards the sound of the others' voices- "GUYS- GUYS-!!! MARCO-"
Luna: "POLO!"
I run in the direction of Luna's voice and when I turn the corner I run into her- knocking her to the ground-
"I'm so sorry- Luna are you ok-?!"
I held out a hand and she took it- I helped her up and she smiled.
Luna: "I'm ok! Why were you running though?"
I looked behind me and the cat was gone- and it wasn't so dark anymore...
"Uhm... I- just- thought I saw something but- it was nothing-... I guess...."
Luna: "Ok? - Anyways- Come on, we have to go! Now!"
Alex: "My Parents will throw a fit If I'm not back before 11-"
I nod and we start running back towards the village and palace.
We finally made it back to the palace and into the throne room where the King and Queen were waiting.
Queen: "There you all are! Where have you been-?! It's long past dark outside!"
Luna: "We're sorry you're majesty's-"
Alex: "We- tried to be back-... but the townsfolk were talkative today- They invited us to hear a story about the stars-."
The Queen sighed.
King: "Well, we did tell them to show her the village, and you do know how much the townsfolk love to tell stories-"
Queen: "That is far from the point!"
King: "In any case. You all are free to go."
Me, Luna, Hunter, and Void bow- then I turn and leave back to the sleeping house. After a long walk, I finally get back to the sleeping house and flop down onto my bed- Startling Emerald who let out a surprised yelp. "Sorry Emerald-" I say quietly, she calmed down and laid next to me, falling back asleep- after a while I slowly fell asleep as well. The next week Clover put me against different guards and I won every fight.
Clover: "You're doing a great job! You're going to pass your test."
"I hope so-..."
Clover: 'I know so. Now, For the last fight, you'll be fighting-"
Alex: "Me."
I looked over at Alex, who randomly appeared.
"What-?! But-"
Alex: "If you're worried that I'm royalty, don't worry about that. I asked to help you with your training. So, don't hold back just because I'm part of the royal family."
She walks over to the weapons rack and grabs an ax.
Alex: "You ready?"
"Mhm..."
We get into our positions and Clover nods. She runs at me and swings her ax- I barely dodge it and use the back of my spear to knock her to the ground. She quickly gets up and swings her ax again, cutting the bridge of my nose- I yelp and jump back, blocking her attacks with my spear which she eventually cuts in half. I jumped to the side and ran towards the weapons rack, I grabbed a sword and right before she could get me I blocked her attack with my sword... She grabbed another ax and started using dual attacks. I back up and jump to the side, barely missing another attack. After a while of playing literal cat and mouse, I turned and jumped, she tripped on a rock and fell, I landed directly behind her and quickly held my sword to her back.
Clover: "Lyra wins!"
I put my sword away and helped Alex up.
Alex: "Not bad, Not bad at all."
I smiled and walked over to where Emerald was sitting, she jumped up into my arms and I hugged her. sitting down at the base of a large oak tree. Alex walked over and sat down next to us.
Alex: "You're a great fighter."
"Thank you- So are you."
Alex smiled and looked up at the sky. Thinking for a few minutes.
"Something wrong?"
Alex: "No, just curious. Have you ever wanted to be a half-being?"
"...I-... I don't know-... I've never really thought about it-... I mean it would be cool but..."
Alex: "But what?"
".... nothing- I guess there is no reason for me not to"
Alex: "So do you?"
"...Yeah."
Alex: "Alright, I'll talk to my parents about it later- For now I'm going to go get something to eat- Later"
"Bye"
