Are you ok?
(TW! Panic attack.)
I
woke up gasping for air. I sat up, breathing heavily and shaking badly. I looked around the room but it was dark- I couldn’t see anything since my eyes hadn’t adjusted to the darkness. I curled up into a ball and started crying silently, still shaking and still breathing heavily. I closed my eyes tightly and continued to cry. The more time passed, the more I cried. And after about 25 minutes I was sobbing. I couldn’t say or do anything except just sit there and cry.
Emerald’s POV:
I was asleep on the floor next to where Ita was When I woke up to the sound of crying?... I looked up and saw her crying. My ears went back and slowly stood up. I walked over to her and laid my head down on the mattress, Which didn’t seem to do anything… I don’t think she even realized I was awake… I slowly jump up onto the bed and she still doesn’t look at me.
{What is going on?...}
I lay down in front of her and lay my head in her lap. And it’s not until I do so that I realize she’s shaking-... badly… I paw at her arm and she flinches slightly. I tilt my head in confusion, not fully understanding why she flinched. I simply touched her, why would she flinch at a simple touch?.. I look up at her worriedly. She removes her hands from binding her legs and rests them next to her, she lowers her legs, and looks up at me, removing her position of being a ball, and into a more open and trusting position. I slowly crawl over to her and lie down in her lap. She wraps her arms around me and hugs me tightly.
Lyra’s POV:
I looked down at Emerald and hugged her tightly. After a few minutes I laid back down and she laid next to me, laying her head on my stomach. I petted her softly and slowly fell asleep.
{Time skip: 9 hours. Current time: 12 pm}
I woke up, It was surprisingly still pretty early in the morning, 10-11 am, I looked at Emerald, She was still asleep. I sat up and my movement caused Emerald to jolt awake before noticing it was me. Her tail swayed happily once she noticed that I was okay and that I was the one who woke her up. I smiled and got up before walking over to my closet and grabbed some normal clothes then changed into them. I looked over at Emerald who was currently making donuts on the bed.
{I guess she's happy...She looks so silly running around in so many circles..}
“Emerald! Having a lot of fun over there?”
“Bark!”
“Okay, I’ll take that as a Yes”
I walked out of the room, hearing Emerald happily trotting behind me. She's really happy today, I wonder why...I shook it off and walked out of the building, I walked out into the training fields, and I remembered that I made plans to meet up with Clover today, as we wanted to train Together.
Clover: “Hey Lyra, come down here, I got your Ax”
I nodded and walked down from the bleachers. Emerald followed behind me, I walked over to Clover and she tossed me the ax, I caught the ax and hung it by my side, I backed up, Emerald sitting down next to me, her tail still swaying, but just not as much as it had been prior to this time being. Clover got ready with her sword and got into a fighting position, and I matched her stance, She began to count down.
Clover: “5…4…3-”
She then jumped to her left and swiftly ran behind me, striking at me. I swiftly spun around using my ax to block her attack. The loud sound of metal hitting echoed throughout the area. I pushed myself back, sliding across the sand and using my hand to slow to a stop. Clover took advantage of this and rushed towards me, striking at me once more. I spun around again, blocking her attack once more, I swiped my leg under her causing her to collapse. I kicked her sword away and quickly stood up, I knew she’d get back up before I could get any idea as to what she was going to do, so I set my foot on her chest, keeping her against the ground, she smirked before pushing me off and leaping up with a spin–sliding over to her sword and grabbing it in one swift movement, before running around and striking at me once more. I jumped up and over her, throwing my ax at her sword and knocking it out of her hand, and then it landed on the ground. Some of the sand on the ground flew around me as I landed. Before I rushed over and grabbed my ax again, I panted heavily as this was getting a tad bit tiring, but I ignored the tired feeling, and watched as she stood up, and grabbed her sword, she went to attack me, and I knew I’d be too slow, but just as she was about to attack me, Emerald jumped in between us, grabbing Clover's sword in her mouth and running a bit off and then dropping it, Clover sighs, and runs after Emerald and grabs her sword as Emerald returns to me, I jump up and get behind Clover running over to her and holding my ax to her neck, she sighs and drops her sword.
