After a while I stood up and went back into the water, standing on a rock and looking at the view of the cavern. Emerald followed me and swam downwards- Which I wasn't expecting since wolves can't breathe underwater- I was about to go down after her but I fell off of the rock I was standing on and fell forwards, falling into the water with a loud 'Splash'. I was about to swim back up for air when I realized- I could breathe-? I looked around and I was completely under the water- But I could breathe and I could see clearly- My vision wasn't blurred like If I were to jump into the normal river I fish in and open my eyes there- I looked around and saw Emerald swimming towards me, she's swimming towards me at a fast pace- Before she could stop, she knocked into me. Pushing me deeper into the water. I scoff and she looks down at me, swimming down to me and licking my nose- How is it that we're underwater but the water pressure and- I know nothing of Science- Is affecting us? - Oh well. I swam back up to the surface but Emerald immediately stopped me and dragged me further under the water, and I don't know why but I just let her- She dragged me to a small cave which wasn't a cave- it was just space behind a rock big enough for a human and a wolf to hide behind- We stayed there for a few minutes before what looked to be a betta fish appeared-... Then a fish I hadn't seen before had teeth and-... I looked away with a short and almost quiet yelp of surprise-
{{T-The fish- just- Ate the Betta fish-?!}}
It swam around for a while, eating at the remains of the poor betta fish. Then a large shadow appeared over it-... Emerald forced me to not look and looked away herself. All I could hear was a roar then silence. followed by the smell of blood.... after about 20 minutes she dragged us deeper into the water which- went way further down than I thought- like at least more than 1000 feet... She brought us further and further down into the underwater cave. It was extremely dark. we were deep enough so that the sunlight couldn't even reach us- I looked around but was met with darkness. All I could see was Emerald's glowing eyes. All I could feel was soft currents of water going against us- and Emerald's paws latched onto my arm. Her claws were digging into my arm- It hurt but I didn't mind. I would be lost down here forever if it weren't for her leading the way. After a while, it turned pitch black. And I felt it became hard to breathe- my lungs felt like they were filling with some sort of- almost air-? but- it wasn't air- I was becoming lightheaded and my breathing slowed. then everything went dark... When I woke up I found Emerald standing over me- I was lying down at the base of an underwater tree. And it was glowing- I looked at her and it was clear she didn't realize I was awake- I reached up and petted her fur- She jumped and looked at me. Barking annoyed-
"BARK!"
"I'm Sorry! It's not my fault you were so spaced out that you didn't realize I became Conscious-"
She stared at me, clearly Not amused-
"What?"
"Bark."
"So, we're doing this again?"
"Bark."
I sigh and swim over to her and hug her.
"Where are we even?-"
She drags me over to the tree where some vines move out of the way to reveal a stone tablet.
Engraved in Spanish it said: 'El árbol místico de Arramia.'
"I don't speak Spanish but somehow I know that's talking about a tree-"
Emerald looks at me and nods. then points to the word 'Arramia'.
"That word seems like familiar. .. Oh well, I'm sure I'll find out later"
I sit down at the base of the tree and she sits next to me.
