Amidst the confusion, Hana took the chance to announce, "Congratulations to our newly appointed president, Carlos Riviera!"
People clapped their hands hesitantly.

Is that how we're supposed to do it?
"Now, I'm going to let Ericka brief you on your job. I'll just visit this place again during monthly meetings. Ciao!"
The employees who once admired Hana for being the cool and beautiful CEO were paralyzed for seeing her act differently.

Did their 'respectable' CEO just ditch them?

Ericka, on the other hand, thought, ah, she must've snapped when Carlos set her up. After all, she once said she hated being deceived. When Hana walked out of the company, Ericka dismissed everyone, not caring to explain things at all because it made her head ache. She decided to brief everyone once the chaos Hana created had finally subsided.

As a result, the people were still in a daze, unsure if what happened a while ago did happen or if that decision even counted.

Are people supposed to elect a new CEO like that? Can Hana just leave like that? Their company sure is a weird one.

Carlos remained frozen in place even when everyone returned to their respective stations to work. Ericka knocked the table near the monitor where Carlos' face was projected.
"Hey, New Boss. Still wondering why this happened? Just recall what you did to that crazy woman in the past twenty-four hours."
Carlos' eyes widened in realization. He looked at Ericka with his jaw dropped.
"That's right. That woman just took her revenge on us. Will she also retaliate against Mr. Brezhnev?" Ericka added.

Shit. Shit. Shit.
Carlos abruptly ended the video call to warn the old man and his wife who were not able to attend the meeting earlier.

Thankfully, nothing happened to them. Hana let them off. The crazy woman did not show herself in the office after that announcement and no one could reach her no matter how many times they tried contacting her. So, Carlos rushed to the headquarters to personally meet with everyone and plan their next course of action. They had no choice but to accept Hana's decision. After all, she's right, employees should follow what their employers wish to do.

But, Hana was just blatantly selfish!

Normal CEOs would at least do things formally and inform the high-ranking officers in the company before they do something drastic like resigning and changing employees' job assignments.

"This is Hana's schedule for the next... Ah!"

"What happened? Is there something wrong?"

"That woman played me for a fool! Everything was planned!"

Ericka scanned through Hana's planner and that's when she finally saw that the pages were vacant at least for a month. She grabbed her hair in frustration. She can't believe she missed it.

The two dissed Hana during their meeting to vent their frustrations.

Meanwhile, Hana was having the time of her life after she dropped her responsibilities like a hot potato.

But, it's not like she did it on a whim. She planned it a long time ago. She even told Ericka about it when she was interviewed. It's just they did not expect her to do it like this- drop everything without any warning.

After leaving the headquarters, Hana purchased the earliest ticket to Boa Vista. Her stunt earlier was her attempt to escape meeting people. However, the company she worked for as a writer, organized a fan signing event for their authors and it will be held in Boa Vista.

Boa Vista is an archipelago lush with greeneries. Their meadows were filled with flowers and grazing cows. Even their highly populated cities were engineered to perfectly blend the green and concrete jungles. Hana longed to settle in this country.
