22 What's The Point In Wallowing In One's Misfortune?

Luna was looking at the interaction of the two the entire time and she could swear that the woman melted at the girl's adorableness for a moment there. Even she was affected by her cuteness although she's far away from the two.

"Oh, okay, sweetie. What's your name? We will look for Mr. Guard together so he can help us find your parents. Is that okay with you?"

Surprisingly, the little girl shook her head 'no' once again. The woman and her boyfriend were shocked at her answer. Doesn't she want her parents to find her?

The woman voiced out what everyone had in mind. "What? Why? Don't you want to look for your mom and dad?"

"My mom said I shouldn't go with strangers and I shouldn't give them my name that easily. You are a stranger to me, Big Sister." The woman laughed at the girl's wit.

"Hmmm, what if I'll stay here with you while Big Brother looks for Mr. Guard? Is that okay?"

This time, the little girl nodded. The woman can't help but pat the girl's head while complimenting her intelligence. She also pinched both of her cheeks which looked so full even though the girl was not eating anything.

The woman's boyfriend took a picture of the little girl using his phone and left to talk to a staff at the information desk to report a missing child. The two continued looking at the fish in the aquarium.

Luna knew it was going to take a while before anyone arrived.

In the meantime, she assessed the structure of the building while making sure that the little girl was still within her sight. She does not trust the couple. At this time and age, we don't know what people are capable of doing even if we're acquainted with them for a long time. How much more, a stranger that one had just met?

Water World was not that different from other aquariums Luna had in memory. What made this particular waterpark stand out was its hotel rooms submerged five meters underwater. People sleeping in these rooms will see the fish swimming in the ocean.

The structure was made near the shoreline and it was not deep enough to cause fear and panic to people sleeping in the rooms. If worst cases like glass walls breaking happened, people could still swim ashore to save themselves. Well, Luna's sure that the owner won't let even a tsunami break this money pot. It's the only one of its kind here in Costa Syniale after all.

The idea of making hotel rooms underwater was just genius.

Wouldn't it be thrilling to sleep in there, especially with sharks swimming all over you? It would've been more epic if the room's walls were transparent.

Luna paused, momentarily forgetting to watch over that little girl.

Hotel rooms underwater? She had thought of this before! But when? And where?

Luna's thoughts were halted when she saw the young man return with the guard. The two next to her did not notice their return just yet. She also saw a man and his wife following behind the two who just got back. Relief was evident in the faces.

The mother was emotional as she ran towards the cute girl. She crouched down and immediately hugged the little girl as she tried to stop her tears from falling. "Samantha!"

The brave young girl looked up to thank the young couple and the mother asked her daughter a lot of questions to check her condition but all of that did not register in Luna's mind anymore. Yes, Samantha was a very common name but when she heard the word out of that woman's mouth, she felt tingles creeping up her spine and goosebumps appeared on her skin.

Underwater hotel rooms? Samantha?

All of a sudden, the entire place felt suffocating. There were too many people and Luna felt light-headed. She felt a deep urge to get out of there.
