"Ahhhhh...." Luna felt good hearing her bones crack as she stretched. Her groans turned into an 'oomph' when she felt the bruises on her stomach stretch as well. It has been a tiring week and she just needed to get over a few hours today so she could finally take her well-deserved break over the weekend.
Last push... last push... last push... She sang in her head while stacking paper. Her hand accidentally pushed a paper bag off the table.
Oh, shoot! I need to give this to Forrest!
She was so busy the entire week that she forgot to hand over some things from Terry. Since she was almost done, she took advantage of her break time to contact Forrest and hand over his things.
She headed to where Forrest wanted to meet. Clutching his things in one of her hands, she fiddled with her phone, trying to look for something to entertain herself with while waiting in the elevator.
She arrived at Code Red's floor.
She was still on her phone as she walked and she noticed the silence.
Is no one around?
She was looking around when she heard sniffling from one of the cubicles.
"Hello? Forrest?"
No one answered but the sniffling continued.
"Hello? Is anyone around? I came to give..."
From one of the cubicles came Gray.
"Hey... have you seen..." Luna was about to ask him about Forrest, but when he raised his head, she met his teary eyes.
Was he crying?
"...Forrest?"
He just looked at her blankly.
Why is he just looking at me? Should I just leave?
She did not feel comfortable with the stare and was about to excuse herself when he motioned her to the farthest end of the floor- the practice area.
"Oh, thank you," She left him to look for Forrest.
Luna just had a quick catch-up with Forrest when she handed him his things before heading back to work. She did not stay longer because they were also busy.
Thoughts about Gray plagued her mind.
Why was he crying? Are they having issues?
She was not sure if that was a personal or work-related problem so she did not ask Forrest about it.
She cannot stop wondering but she can also do nothing about it. She had no right to intrude.
But why would someone who laughs all the time suddenly cry?
Luna left work on time. She could not stand extending her stay in the office.
For a change, she walked out of the building through the back exit. Wanting to see new sceneries on her way home, she frolicked without a care.
Finally, I'm free!
To get through the back exit, Luna had to pass through the parking lot.
Since there was hardly anyone around, Luna skipped as she walked. She was just happy to have a short escape from all those papers.
She rounded the corner and she bumped into someone. She almost fell but he grabbed her hand to steady her.
"Oh my, I'm so sorry!" She apologized right away.
