Luna was flattered that she was able to catch the attention of the CEO of a high-end fashion brand.
Unfortunately, she knew deep within herself that she was not a model material.
She shriveled every time a lot of people's eyes were on her. How will she ever survive as a model if she can't even tolerate attention?
"Wow, you're extremely lucky, Luna. Xerxes and the president had been friends for a long time and we're kind of hoping that one of us will get a chance to represent his brand one day. Who would've thought that you'd steal that opportunity right in front of us?" Valentin said. His voice was filled with unmasked awe and envy.
Luna just smiled at him. "No need to be so competitive with me about this, Valentin. I'm not gonna accept the offer."
"What?!"
The Code Red members, Kris, Terry, and Faye asked with a thundering voice, louder than when they were shocked that she received an offer.
That single question made a lot of working staff stop moving around to see if there was something wrong in their crowd. Thankfully, the people continued moving after seeing that everything was alright.
"Why would you reject that offer? It would be your first and last chance to grab that opportunity. That man may look like he's kind and all that, but he's mean and he doesn't give second chances to anyone. You will never get another chance in this lifetime if you reject his offer, Luna." Kris warned her.
"I know that it was a great opportunity but... I'm a fictional character in this world, Kris. 'Luna Jones' isn't my real name, remember?"
Luna whispered the last part. It's not like she's hiding that fact but she also did not want to broadcast it.
"If I engage myself deeper into this character, I might end up facing a lot of complications when I finally remember my real identity. I should be low-key and just silently return to my old life."
The people listening to her went silent.
They had been together for a short time but they felt like Luna had always been a part of their circle. That's why, for a moment, they forgot that she had a life of her own before she lost her memories.
"By the way, why are we staying here ages after the concert? Shouldn't we let them rest already?" Luna finally asked. As a rookie attendee, she had the right to ask this question.
Terry seemed to remember that she still had to let the members rest. "Oh, we're just here to congratulate you guys. The show was terrific. Hang in there until the third day, okay?"
"We'll leave now, so you could all rest early." Faye also said her congratulations and left.
Luna only said her goodbyes because she already congratulated them earlier.
Since Luna and Faye were both single ladies who looked like they were around the age of the members, they could not act so close to them or else, they'd find themselves in the news early in the morning the following day.
"Oh, before I forget, Kris, when will you and Jack be available?" Luna said before parting ways with Kris at the entrance of the dome.
"Why?"
"I'd like to express my gratitude for helping me find a job by treating you to a meal. Would that be possible?"
"No need to do that..."
Luna gave him a pointed look.
"...but if you insist, Jack likes wines not younger than twenty-five while I like any goods from Goldleaf. We're going on a world tour a week after this so..."
