"B-boss? You're finally here... What happened to you?"
Hana facepalmed. Of all the people around her, Ericka was the last person she wanted to know about her injury. Not only was she a worrywart, but she was also a nagger. She would always be all over Hana and wanted to avoid that. Too bad she's here now, witnessing the entirety of the damage done to her body.
"Why are you here? I thought you were busy?" She ignored her question.
"I was looking for Carlos. Did you get into an accident?" Ericka approached her to look at her injuries closely.
"Yes. Now, Carlos is just right there. Get back to work and allow the doctor to finish her job."
"Don't you need to go to the hospital?"
"I already came from one."
Ericka felt conflicted. Their company is now riddled with complaints about their products and they did not know how to stop the negative feedback because the alleged customer posted her concerns on the internet. Now, their sales are dwindling because it went viral and others just commented in agreement to the post without definite evidence. Carlos and Ericka couldn't stop the aftermath of a single post. Will Hana be able to help them in her current state?
"What do you need from me, Ericka?" Carlos successfully got Ericka's attention away from Hana. "People started to popularize a hashtag to convince people to boycott our products. It has more than ten thousand posts."
"How long has this been going on?" Hana asked.
"A little more than a week."
It was right when Hana got injured and was hospitalized. Thank god she woke up. What would've happened if she ended up dying?
"That's weird. It's not like we are such a big deal in the market. Why is the issue blowing up so fast? Where's my laptop?"
"No. You need to rest up." Carlos said and the two women nodded in agreement.
"I'm just going to browse and investigate the origin of the post. I'm not going to cartwheel in front of the laptop. Stop overreacting" The three relented and Ericka went to Hana's office to get it.
The doctor was finally done cleaning up Hana's wounds. She advised her to go to the hospital and undergo more tests which Hana promised she'd do. In the meantime, she prescribed some medicine to help her wounds heal faster and avoid infection in the process of healing. She left after Hana and her friends thanked her.
Ericka returned with the laptop and a stack of folders filled with reports made when Hana was gone.
"Please give me time to analyze all of these. For now, please continue what you were previously working on." Hana's now back in her CEO mode. The three left her alone. They were already used to Hana's working process.
Hana spent the entire day online, digging deeper into how the matter started. She also has the information Carlos and the other employees gathered since the issue began.
She stayed in her room as Ericka and Carlos did the manual labor for her. She did her best to track down the IP addresses of those who posted the negative feedback, most especially the ones who started everything.
It only took her twenty hours to have all the IP addresses listed down and she handed her list over to Ericka so she could look into the people involved.
As she scanned through the reports, she discovered that Ericka recently hired new employees before everything fell into chaos. Among the new hires, Hana found a familiar face.
Huh? That's weird. What the hell is she doing so far from Costa Syniale?
She asked Carlos to have the woman investigated. Seeing her here was not a good sign. She wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt but she's not a reliable employee.
The task took a toll on Hana's eyes so she went back to sleep right after. She's done her part anyway, she just had to wait for the result so she would know her next move.
When Ericka delivered the results of her investigation after three days, Hana couldn't help but praise herself for spotting the one who started making a mess in her company immediately.
But why does she keep on doing this? Does it make her feel good if she destroys other's hard work?
She started her day feeling refreshed.
"Ericka, I'm heading downstairs to check on everyone. Is everything ready?"
"Yes, the police are on their way. ETA is in fifteen minutes."
"That's good."
Hana donned her CEO persona as she headed to the office of the new hires. It was already two hours since the office hours started so everyone was surely at their desk.
"Good morning, Ms. E- Ms. Hana?"
Every person they met was shocked to see Hana walking next to Ericka. It has been a long time since they last saw her and everyone thought she abandoned the company.
"Eh? Is that Miss Hana? Is she finally back?"
"Why is Ms. Hana here? I thought she left the company?"
"Didn't she give away her position? Is she still allowed to be here?"
A lot of people were whispering behind their backs but Hana and Ericka ignored them. They will take care of it once the issue about the negative posts are dealt with. For now, they had to go to the interns' office.
At The Interns' Office
News traveled faster than Hana and Ericka's strides. The interns already knew that the boss they had not seen yet had returned and everyone was eager to meet her. It's just that the intel they got from the group chats was not entirely good so they had no idea how to face her if she ended up dropping on their area.
"Hey, there's a new chat. It seems like the boss is headed our way. What should we do?" Everyone panicked that they did not notice one of them has not clocked in yet.
"Let's just go back to our desks and work on the tasks assigned to us so she doesn't see us slacking," one of them suggested.
Everyone agreed with him and they all went back to their desks to focus on their tasks. Others made an effort to make their desks look tidy so the bosses had nothing to nitpick on them.
Hana finally reached the interns' office and she immediately felt how tense everyone was.
"Good Morning, everyone," Ericka started and everyone stood up and greeted her back.
"There's someone I'd like all of you to meet. This is Hana. She's the one who started this company."
The founder?
"Good morning, Ms. Hana."
"Hi, Ms. Hana. Nice to finally meet you."
"It's an honor to meet you Miss."
They were in the middle of exchanging greetings when someone walked in. The click-clacking of her heels broke the merry vibe everyone had.
"Oh, it seems that the person I'm looking for has finally graced us with her presence."
"Luna?"
