The first thing Luna did when she went back to work was to ask for permission to leave work on Friday.

Ms. Lucia allowed her under the condition that she finish the work assigned to her by then. Luna readily agreed to that condition. She trusted herself to be able to finish the tasks given to her. Since she successfully cleared her schedule, she immediately informed Terry. After the call, Luna went back to her work worry-free.

Luna's days in the company had been uneventful ever since Terrence and Lily were fired. Other interns hardly bothered her because she belonged to a different department. They did not consider her as a threat so they left her alone while she was working. She only interacted with them during lunch and break times. Because no one bothered her, Luna was able to finish her tasks by Thursday.

Friday arrived in no time.

Terry asked Luna to meet her in a famous recreational farmhouse, Adelaide.

The farmhouse was built right in the middle of an apple orchard and was named after the wife of the owner.

Aside from the apple orchard, there was a greenhouse full of medicinal plants, a stable of horses that guests could borrow every time they visited the place, a barn of cows, and a lot of poultry animals. People could also enjoy playing golf, swimming in the pool, and relaxing in the spa.

The place was a breath of fresh air from the suffocating city air.

The farmhouse functioned as a rest house that people could rent and stay in as they enjoyed the refreshing escape from the city heat. It was a two-hour drive away from the city center.

Luna was stopped at the front gate by a security officer after she descended from a taxi.

"Good morning, Miss. Do you have any reservations?"

Luna greeted the man back. "I don't have one, Sir. I have a companion who invited me over. She has not yet arrived. Can I wait for her here?"

In front of the gate, the security personnel had a guard house where they took shelter from the heat of the sun. The guard allowed Luna to wait and offered her a seat under the shade.

Luna sat down and brought her phone out of her bag. She informed Terry that she was waiting by the gate. The woman replied that she would arrive in a few minutes. She waited patiently for the older woman.

A few moments later, a white van stopped in front of the gate. It looked similar to the van Terry and her husband owned.

Luna and the guard scrutinized the car in front of them. Suddenly, the window rolled down and Terry's face appeared along with her husband who was driving the car.

"Luna! Get inside the car." Terry then faced the guard and handed him an envelope.

"Hi. I have a reservation under the name of Victoria Verzosa and I have two companions with me.

"Luna, roll your window down so the security can check us."

The security personnel needed to take note of the number of guests that came in and out of the farm's premises. After verifying that they were indeed telling the truth, the guard opened the gate for them.

"I never thought that Fred would also be with you, Terry. Was this supposed to be your date? Am I intruding?"

Luna saw Terry's face reddened and was reflected through the side mirror.

"D-Date? What are you talking about? We are too old to do that."

Terry noticed Luna looking at her through the mirror and when she realized that the younger woman was teasing her, she blushed harder.
