After 5 months
Time went by pretty fast. Virat was busy with his games and Anushka had slowly started to carry on with her shoots. Although she was completely fit to do movies , her heart didn't allow her to leave the baby home. Or if she is taking the baby with her, she felt like she was giving less attention.
With time, Ved had become clingier to her. He wanted to be with her every time. The moment she moves away, he starts crying. Therefore she used to hide and go for ad shoots. And he was kept distracted by her parents.
Virat was away for his tour for 2 months and he was finally returning home. He video calls daily to Ved and he was very excited to see his papa.
"Virat, it's been a long time I went to Delhi. And I feel so bad , what will they think of me. I probably went last year." She said in a sad tone to Virat.
"You could've gone Anu, why didn't you go during this time" he asked through the call.
"I want you to come with me. I can't face them alone. Kis muh se jaaun unke saamne" she sounded guilty.
"Babe, they are family too. Wo kuch nhi bolenge. In fact, they are waiting for you to come. Mum was asking me yesterday, are you still angry with me. She asks about you everyday" he informed her.
"Sorry Virat, I wanted to talk to her. But I was unsure , how she would react. I...I miss them. Can I go?" She said still feeling a heaviness.
"Why are you sorry love, its ok. Of course you can go. You don't need to worry about a think. I will talk to them. Alright?" He asked trying to console her.
"You will talk what?" She asked curiously.
"I mean, I will tell them to welcome normally. Not to make you feel alien or something" he said.
"And I think it will be better if you go by yourself. Otherwise they'll think I brought you there " he opined.
"Ok.. I'll go. This is so sad, they couldn't see Ved either because of me" she sighed.
"No Anu, they have seen Ved. During the first 2 months after birth, I used to regularly visit them with Ved. I told Maa to come to Mumbai but you know she get's tired at this age, to travel here and there. She herself told me , come when you are fine with it" Virat explained.
"Then why didn't you tell me?" She asked.
"After you recovered, what all things should I burden you with. I too wanted you to realise by yourself Anu. And I'm glad you have this in mind" Virat sounded content.
"I'm sorry-" she apologized again
"Enough. Kitni baar bologi. I told you it's ok. Now don't think too much. Just go when you are ready. Ok?" He asked again.
"I'm going tomorrow itself. Wish me luck. Aur tum aaoge na?" She asked nervously.
"Then I'll do one thing. I'll come straight to Delhi. You be there. Uuuhhgg... my body is not functioning properly without you. I stayed 2 months without seeing you" Virat exclaimed as if he was staying sober from some addiction.
"Oh really, That's a Good thing then. you are the one who asked me to come here and do my work" she smirked.
" How dare you. Aata hun, phir bataaunga" he fake-gasped. It made Anushka chuckle at his reaction.
"Ok then, see you in Delhi. Safe journey " she yawned.
"Love you" he kept the call.
Ved had started to sit and crawl. Now the days became more tiresome for Anushka. Even though he was tiny, the moment she looked away, he would vanish from there like a rabbit.
