"Anu, why are you breathing so heavily? I can literally hear your heartbeat " he said smiling at me as he was laying on my chest.
"It was me" I muttered.
"Huh?"
"I initiated the sting operation"

"Kya!??" Virat abruptly sat up in disbelief. All the sleep vanished from his eyes. He couldn't believe what he just heard.
"Just kidding, sleep" she pulled him back. He took a deep breath and slept by her side. After some time, Anushka observed that he was fast asleep.
That wasn't a joke. Of course it was initiated by her. But she wanted to talk it out when he wakes up and he's in the right frame of mind.
Next day
Virat woke up with a bursting headache. He turned to his other side holding his forehead and he was in for a pleasant surprise. There was Anushka sleeping beside him, after a long time.
A sudden smile formed on his lip. He doesn't remember what happened yesterday. All he remembers is him and Maxwell fighting in the car. He extended his hand to caress her face, but something in him stopped himself from doing so.
He was ogling her with a teasing smile till she opened her eyes. She was also greeted by his smiling face. She closed her eyes again and moved closer to him. She put her hands around his neck and buried the face in his chest.
He felt a ticklish sensation, at the same time, he was shaken how she suddenly got close to him. What changed last night, that she's in his arms. He gently wrapped his arms around her.
After about 5 minutes, she suddenly got up from the bed and looked at him suspiciously. Then without a word, she hurried out of the room.
Nothing has changed, maybe she slept with me because of my condition and she was still sleepy while she was snuggling in the morning , he thought.
He stayed like that for some time. He kept thinking what happened yesterday. He assumed that she might be angry at him because he drank. But his head was only hurting more.
After sometime, someone knocked on the door. It was Maxwell. Virat sat up on the bed and asked him to come in.
"You good? Drink this" Maxwell handed over something in the glass.
"What's this " Virat asked taking the glass.
"You were pretty high yesterday. I always drink this to get back to normal state. It will help your headache " he advised. Without giving it a thought, Virat drank the whole glass.
"I think Anu's angry " Virat mumbled.
"Well, she should be. Who asked you to drink like that" Maxwell enquired. Virat didn't have answer to that.
"She'll be fine. I'll talk to her" Maxwell left the room.

Virat got ready to send Ved to school. When he came out of the room and checked on Ved, he was not there. Meanwhile, Anushka was coming from outside.
"Ved kahaan hai?" He asked looking around. She didn't respond and went to the room. He followed her and stood infront.
"Tumse kya matlab. Go , drink and come. Koi aur party hogi na. Jaake thalli hoke aao" she taunted him as she changed her clothes.
"You are telling as if I do this everyday. There's no need to overreact. I just asked a simple question. Where is Ved?" He blurted out.
