"Vedy utho, how long are you going to sleep" Virat shook Ved from the bed as he was reluctant get up.
"Papa 5 minutes" he squirmed in the bed with the blanket. Virat sighed and went to the courtyard where Anushka was sipping tea peacefully.
"Wo uth nhi Raha hai" he went and sat near her .
"What do you mean uth nhi Raha hai ?, it's 8:40" she stressed.
"5 mins.. sone de" Virat requested on behalf of Ved.
"You are the one spoiling him. Ye uska Roz ka hai. He'll be late " she said that and got up.
"Kindergarten hi tho jaana hai.. konsa MBBS kar raha hai, relax" he held her hand and pulled her back to sit.
"It starts like this, it'll become a habit to go late everytime" she made him understand.
"You are taking too much stress. He's just a child, how many times he's been late? Once? Koi habit nhi hoga. We'll teach him ok?" He wrapped his arms around her shoulder to make her relax.
"Lo aa gaye maharaj" Virat announced as Ved came outside after waking up.
He went and jumped on to Anushka and clung on her like a monkey. She gave him a warm hug and kissed his forehead .
Getting him ready in the morning was Virat's job whenever he was home. That's the reason why Ved jumped on to Anushka.
"Ved you are becoming too lazy. Next year , you'll be going to school. It won't be like this. You'll have to wake up early, wear uniform.." she explained to the sleepy Ved on her shoulder.
"Ok come. Enough of your sleep" Virat carried Ved from Anushka and went to the washroom to get him ready.
After getting him ready, Virat went to drop him to the kindergarten. His house was quite close to Maxwell's house. In fact, maxwell was the one who helped them find and buy this house.
While passing by after dropping Ved, he saw Maxwell standing infront of his house.
"Hey Maxi, what's up" Virat waved from outside.
"All good mate, how're you doing?" He asked back.
"I'm fine. Where's Vini" Virat asked about his wife.
"Uh..she has gone out " Maxi replied.
"Come over. Let's have a chit chat" Virat called him to his house.
Maxwell locked his door and went with Virat to his home. He greeted Anushka and all three of them sat in the living room.
"Coffee ..tea?" Anushka asked.
"Naah.. I'm good Nush, take your seat" he gestured.
"So..., you are going for IPL next month?" Virat asked.
"Uhm..yeah. You are not coming?" Maxwell asked.
"I don't know what's happening there. Nothing's decided yet. They are facing some complexities because of my conversion " Virat stated.
"I guess that'll be fine. You didn't do any crime, did you? It's normal. Many players have did this and it was accepted just fine " Maxwell pointed out.
"He's not a random player Maxi, don't thing I'm bragging, but that team's value depends on him heavily " Anushka added.
"Exactly. That's what I'm trying to say. It's not a brag, it's the truth. In such a scenario, they would fight with everything they have, to get you back in the team. And it's not just about RCB, what about BCCI? You are retired, fine, but they can still generate a lot of income with your presence. I'm sorry I'm talking from the monetary point of view, but that's the only way they can be on your side. "
