Ved and Anushka returned to Mumbai after the sports day. Virat was already at home. He was not feeling very well that day. He opened the door as there was a knock.

He found both Anushka and Ved on the doorstep. He was confused why he came back.

"Ved? Why did he come back?" Virat asked in confusion as he saw Ved sleeping on her shoulder.

"He wanted to see you play tomorrow. We have taken a holiday " she informed as she got inside.

She went to lay him down on his bed and came back to Virat. She saw that he was resting on the couch with his eyes closed. It was only 7 in the evening and he was already looking sleepy.

"Kya hua Virat?" She asked, sitting on the edge of the couch. He opened his eyes and sat up.

Then he moved to the other side and laid down with his head placed on her lap. A gentle smile played on her lips, she ran her hands through his soft hair. Then she gently patted on his face.

Her smile immediately vanished when she could sense the temperature on his skin. She checked his forehead with the back of her hand, he had fever. She checked his hands and body to confirm, it was definitely hotter than usual.

"Bub, you are having fever" she informed in a concerned tone. He hummed and turned around to snuggle close to her body.

"Go to your team doctor, Virat. Or call him here" she asked him, she took his phone to search for the number.

" No....it's fine. Theek ho jayega" he said lazily and grabbed the phone back.

"No. I won't allow this. Get me the number of I'll ask someone else" she asserted.

He slowly took the phone and called the doctor himself. He was feeling too tired to walk till there.

The doctor came in after a while. He did a check up. And gave some medicines to him.

"This is not a viral fever. It looks like you are taking a lot of stress, Virat. And you practiced a lot today, I saw that. Maybe because of that. Don't take so much stress, you'll be fine. Take a lot of rest, don't go for any training tomorrow, go straight to the match at night" the doctor advised.

"But it's semi final tomorrow, doctor. I have to- " he resisted it, however Anushka cut him off.

"It's ok doctor, I'll take care of that" she answered, glaring at Virat. He didn't have the courage to say anything further. The doctor left the place.

"You are not going anywhere till tomorrow 6 PM" she put the ultimatum. He had no choice but to agree with it.

"I have to show you something Virat. See this" Anushka showed her Ved's video. He had a constant smile throughout the video.

"Arey! Ye kya kar raha hai" he exclaimed and turned to her after seeing him give the flying kiss.

"Tumhara beta hai" she commented with a chuckle.

"How dare he..I should patent my celebrations" he joked , watching the video.

"He was actually running pretty fast, Virat. I was impressed, there was a huge gap between him and the kid behind him" she shared with him how fast Ved was.

"I have trained him like that. Do you think anyone would train their kid that way? And of course, Mera genes tho hoga hi" he smirked cockily at her.

"Not sure about that last point.. because he actually came first. That seems like my genes" she teased him with her tongue sticking out.
