Hi all, here's the next update,
after a long time 🙂
I'm not very happy with the votes in the 100th chapter.
Yet I'm uploading this for the
Ones who actually responded and requested for more. ❤️As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over Sydney, excitement buzzed through the air. The first match of the World Cup had finally arrived, and for Virat Kohli, it was a monumental occasion—his debut World Cup as an Australian cricketer against South Africa.
The stadium was packed, a sea of yellow and green, but amidst the Australian flags, there was an unmistakable energy from the Indian fans who had traveled to support him. As he stepped onto the field, he could feel the weight of expectations but also the thrill of opportunity.
Virat's performance was nothing short of spectacular. He batted with grace and aggression, bringing his signature style to the Australian lineup. After a series of powerful shots and expertly timed boundaries, he scored 57 runs, contributing significantly to Australia’s success.
Each swing of his bat echoed the years of hard work he had put in, silencing skeptics and winning over fans who had initially doubted his commitment to a different country.
His electric energy lit up the pitch, and as Australia clinched victory, cheers erupted from the crowd, a mix of Aussie pride and admiration for the former Indian star.
Meanwhile, back in Sydney, Anushka was glued to the television, her heart racing with each run Virat scored. The tension in the room faded with every boundary, and as he crossed the fifty mark, she couldn’t help but scream with joy.
“That’s my man!” she shouted, pumping her fist in the air, her heart swelling with pride. Just then, the doorbell rang. Her parents had arrived, and their presence brought a wave of comfort.
"Virat batted well today. Are you feeling happier now?" Her dad asked.
“I am! But I also miss him like crazy,” Anushka confessed, her mood swings becoming evident as she switched from joy to longing in an instant. “I can’t believe I have to wait until the next match to see him again.”
As the match ended and Anushka settled into a couch surrounded by her parents, she picked up her phone and dialed Virat’s number, her heart racing with anticipation.
On the other end, Virat was still basking in the post-match glory, surrounded by his teammates in the dressing room. The atmosphere was jubilant, but his heart raced at the thought of hearing Anushka's voice.
“Hey, love! Did you watch?” he answered, his voice brimming with enthusiasm.
“Of course! You were amazing, Virat! I can’t believe you did that in your first match! I’m so proud of you,” Anushka gushed, a smile spreading across her face. But then, almost immediately, a hint of frustration crept into her tone.
“But it feels so empty without you here. I hate it!” her voice withered.
"I'll be back bub. And why are you feeling empty? Ved hain na. And maa baba didn't reach yet?" Virat enquired.
“They are here and Ved is there, but I miss you. I miss our time together. It’s different now,” she admitted, her voice a mix of affection and vulnerability. “And I swear, these hormones are making me feel all kinds of things. One minute I’m happy, and the next, I’m just... sad.”
Virat chuckled softly, understanding her turmoil. “I get it. It’s a lot, but I promise, once I’m back, we’ll have all the time in the world. Plus, we have to prepare for the little one, right” he said, his voice lowering affectionately, a reminder of the baby they were expecting.
