"What the heck are you saying!?" Virat exclaimed.

(Flashback narrated)

"I wanted to give justice to you Virat" she continued.

"You are crazy! Agar kisi ko pata chalta tho ?" He voiced.

"Aisa hua nhi na. I knew what I was doing." She answered confidently.

He hugged her tightly. Her heart skipped a beat. She gently hugged him back and rubbed his back. He parted and kissed her fingers.

"Thanks a lot Anu. But you didn't have to go to that extent. " He told her.

"I just did what you would do, if you were in my place. But to be very honest, I never thought you would take such a big step to join another team" She put it together. He nodded to himself and walked away.

She felt relieved that finally she could put her heart out. Now they had to spend a lot more time together. She reminisced the hug he gave after her confession. That is how she wanted to be with him.

Noon

Virat went early to pick Ved from kindergarten, as it was his last day there. Ved was so happy that it was over. He ran to Virat.

"Papa it's over!" He jumped to Virat . Virat carried him.

"Kya over? Ye tho bas shuruat hai beta" he mocked him. But Ved wasn't listening to him.

"Papa I want to play cricket like you. Aap sikhaoge?" He asked Virat. Virat smiled at him.

"Of course. But it won't be easy " he said.

"It's ok. I'll learn. So no school!?" Ved was excitedly.

"What no school? You'll go to school and you can practice this too. You cant choose any one . You have to do both" Virat told him.

"Ok. I'm ready!" he was excited.

Both of them reached home. Anushka didn't have any shoot today, so she prepared food for Ved. As he came home, he changed immediately and was excited to tell her how he was going to play cricket.

"Mumma mein papa ke jaise cricket khelunga" Ved said to Anushka. She smiled at him.

"Khel Lena, but now have your lunch" she gave him the plate with food.

"No, I'll play first, then I'll eat. Papa come" he called Virat who was sitting on the couch and scrolling through the phone.

"Vedy, first have your lunch. Then we'll play in the evening" Virat instructed him.

But he sat there with a sulking face . Anushka took the plate and sat near him to feed. But he was moving his face away and not opening his mouth.

"Ved if you want to play like papa, you have to have food like him. Otherwise you won't be able to play well" Anushka tried to make him obey.

But he was becoming too stubborn. Virat always gave in whenever Ved made that face. He could never be hard on him. His eyes were too innocent. But sometimes it's important to be stern.

"Ved , last time I let you go to Maxi, this time I won't teach you how to play ok? Have your food" Virat warned him still looking at the phone.

Ved frowned at that, he was not very used to hearing a "no" from Virat. Anushka used to deny him but Virat always agreed to everything he said. Anushka forwarded the spoon near his mouth.
