I open the door and the man is standing there, looking at his phone. He looks up at me, then looks me up and down, and attempts to hide a smirk that's tugging at his lips.
He slides the phone into his pocket before allowing me to walk out of the room. I walk into the dimly lit hallway. It feels strange wearing fancy clothes that strangely fit me perfectly. At home we didn't have much money, so half of my tops would be Arlo's old ones, and the other ones would be from random charity shops or anything we could find in abandoned houses. The small skirt hits against my thighs lightly as I walk down the hallways and down stairs, following the male still.
"You will meet everyone at this dinner and have rules discussed and what we do at times of the day, understood?" He looks over his shoulder at me. I nod and agree. I can't help but smell the scent that's lingering behind from him. It smells amazing. I don't know what it is but he smells amazing. He changed his clothes since i last saw him, he now wears a black button up shirt with black trousers. I don't know why we have to dress fancy for this dinner, but I do understand that it is a very detailed place.
I didnt even think about food and how hungry I am, my stomach hurts now I actually think about it. I get a sudden rush of excitement as we are going to dinner now. I could eat any food that is served in front of me.
"May I ask what your name was? You know my name somehow but I don't know yours." I say, basically walking beside him now. He keeps a straight face and looks forward, not answering.
It takes him a solid thirty seconds before answering. "Jude. Jude Robinsons."
"Nice to meet you Jude." I stick out my hand, offering a hand shake. He looks at my hand and then looks forward again. Maybe he's not a people person then.
We arrive in front of two massive doors. Two older men are standing straight, blocking the doors. It only takes one look at Jude before they glide sideways and open the doors. We walk inside and I can only describe it as remarkable. Colours such as black, gold, white and soothing oranges cover the room, and it's a big room. The ceiling is very far up, so is a massive chandelier that sparkles as it releases light all over the room. The floor is a glossy wood I think, when I walk on it my boots sound loud. In the middle of the room, there is a large table, with quite a few people on. I recognise Grayson, Arlo and Brooklyn immediately. Grayson and Brooklyn both turn around from hearing the door open and all smile at me. I smile back at them. Arlo doesn't move a muscle.
Grayson has two empty seats next to him, I'm only assuming they are for me and Jude, Brooklyn and Arlo sit opposite.
"Welcome both!" The same man that was on the island with us speaks at the top of the table. We both sit down.
"Hi." Grayson whispers to me.
"Hello, looking decent."
He is wearing black trousers by the looks of it, a navy blue hoodie with a button shirt underneath so you can see the collar. He looks very smart.
"You too." He smiles at me.
The man at the top of the table who is nearest to us starts speaking.
"Hello all! Another year of welcoming new members. Here we have Brooklyn Adams, Arlo Roberts, Grayson Kingsley and Olivia Roberts. And I am Sir Cassander, that is what you will call me." He looks at all of us as he says our names. The people at the table stare at us, it makes me feel a little bit uncomfortable.
"Now be kind to our new members," He eyes everyone at the table.
Are we joining a cult or something?
"And don't scare them off. We wouldn't want what happened last year would we?"
