Walking through here still feels unreasonably normal. It's still white and makes me feel trapped, but I also still don't feel unsafe. Maybe it's because I have more power and control over a man with a gun, but there are many people with many guns who could definitely kill me if I got weaker.
Sir Cassander keeps counting the doors as we go by, and he has Arlo and Jude at his side. There are no guards down this hall, which probably means that these aren't the important people, the ones they're probably going to kill soon. I look at Valentina who is walking beside me, her whole body shakes, but her hands are most noticeable. I hold her hand and nod at her, trying to reassure her that it's going to be okay. I know it's most likely not going to go well and people are going to get injured, whether that's one of us, the innocent people who are already cautious as it is or the guards in here. Valentinas hand is freezing cold, then i remember that with Jude and Val, the more emotion they are showing, the warmer and colder their hands will be. When me and jude kiss sometimes his hands go really warm, so i can feel his heartbeat in them. If he's angry you might not even want to touch his hands, they feel nearly like hot water. Valentina is the same but instead her hands are cold because she uses water, not fire.
"If ravens dead i don't know what I'll do, I don't know how much control I'll have over myself. Just thought i'd get that out there." Valentina whispers to me, her hand turning colder. I take in her words and realise that she probably doesn't care as much about Faye, Brooklyn or Grayson. Not because she doesnt like them, but because Valentina and Raven have been best friends since they both got here. In a way I feel like Valentina is annoyed at me sometimes because of how much me, Grayson and Raven hang out just as a three, but she can't get mad at me because I'm with Jude. If she's mad at me, Jude is mad at her. And i do not want to start things right now. I slowly drop her hand and the thought of her turning my hand into icicles.
We continue down this very long lonely hallway until we come to a sudden stop, I nearly bump into Jaxon.
I realise that this is the cell that the four have been put in, and were about to see the state of them.
A sizzling sound comes from the door, then a burning smell. Jude slowly and carefully burns the multiple locks off of the large metal door. Arlo pushes the door down, a loud thud of the door hitting the concrete echoes through the corridor, now we have to be quick.
I think i've snapped back into reality now and where I actually am. A place of torture, the place that killed my parents, a place where they kill for no good reason. A place where the world is ruined. My hands tingle for a second before i see Grayson, dirty, hair messy, cuts and bruises scattered all up his arms and on his face. He starts walking to the door and immediately falls into me. I hold him as his weak body squeezes mine.
"I thought you were dead i'm so sorry Grayson im-"
"I said I would never leave you Olivia. I meant that." He rasps. The others come out of the cell and it only takes a second before it turns into utter chaos. Blearing alarms start sounding from every single corner and crevice of the building. We see guards start to run down the corridor, so we run.
"Hold my hand, you can run, I know you can Gray."
We all start running down back the way we came, Brooklyn and Valentina being in front. My thigh starts throbbing and I feel a warm substance trickling down my leg slowly. I have to keep running, we can take care of the stab wound later. When we are safe.
Running comes to a halt when guards point their guns at us in front of us, they do actually look intimidating now and I have started to shake.
"Do it Olivia!!" I hear Sir Cassander yell. Adrenaline sparks my whole body, as if I'm a match being scraped against a box to be lit. I stare at the men for a few seconds, and suddenly all of them are falling to the floor, begging for their lives, holding their throats as if it's going to give them air. All of them fall to the floor. Dead. We all start running again, alarms are sounding everywhere, all different kinds of noises, high pitched, low pitched, different tunes, all of them are different.
"Are you okay?" Grayson asks me, out of breath and his voice is shaking slightly.
"I've been better. I'm just glad your alive."
"Like I said, never leaving you Liv.
We sprint through more corridors until we enter the circle, we killed more people and guards. Shots are suddenly being fired everywhere, at us. We all continue to run down the stairs in the open, being shot at. There's no way i havent got shot yet. There has to be a bullet in me somewhere, i just cant feel it yet. We get to the bottom floor and can see the main large doors that stand at tall as a two story house. A big explosion gets rid of them doors and part of that wall. Arlo runs through , we all follow him. It's all a big blur, I can't think properly and there's too much Adrenaline in my blood. My brain isnt working.
My only thought is that we have to get out of here. We have to. We will get out of here alive.
