Having the day off of training but working your brain so hard all day is a pain in my ass. We all got a day off today because Cassander had to deal with something apparently, so we were all obviously free to do whatever we wanted. I chose to spend my entire day in the library. Studying, if you'll call it that. Studying and researching about End Point and The Intelligent, the past of it and how it ended up like this.
Questions have run through me since we got here, I've just never actually gotten around to looking for the answers to my questions.
"Liv, I've found something that leads back twenty years. I don't know how I've never seen this before." Faye speaks quietly as if it were a public library. The sun is out today and it feels like spring. I'm still not wearing short sleeves, but a long sleeve flowy dress will do it for me. The dress is a kind of lapis blue, Raven says the colour suits me best. I'm not really sure, I just like how it flows around my thighs and fits around my waist. And the fact it has a little slit on the right side so i can get easy access to my daggers strapped to my thigh. I've decided to do my hair differently today, half up half down. It's a change but I think it looks pretty, Jude liked it as well, though he says he prefers it down or in my french braid i do often.
I'm still trying to grasp onto the fact I'm related to a murderer. It's constantly on my mind. I do distract myself and it works sometimes but other times i can't think. My head spins and I want the world to stop for just a minute so I can pick myself back up. Then life can continue and I will continue to be 'fine'.
"Oh right. Is it about End Point or Intelligent?" I ask, getting up from the chair I was quite comfortable in as the sun from the open balcony doors shines through onto my pale skin. You would think being on a near tropical island meant you would be burnt or tanned or get hot in black clothing, but for some reason we don't. Especially me, i've never tanned, i've always been pale. I suppose I'm a little sun kissed after me and Jude have been in the gardens for a while but it never seems like a change to me.
"It's about both? I wonder if it's like how it split up, I'm not sure. It's okay I'll come to you, sit back down." Faye speaks as she walks back over to me with the book in her hand. She has a pretty green dress on with white flowers spread out across it. Her blonde hair bounces on her shoulders. Her hair is really a gorgeous colour, it matches her green eyes, her dress matches her eyes as well. She's a really pretty girl.
I sit back down in the sun, appreciating the warm feeling on my skin. I'm normally cold for some reason. Faye sits down next to me elegantly, her radiant eyes beaming from the light that shines through, some reflecting off of the glass.
She opens the book and spreads it out on her lap, I lean in to see. " I go in here nearly every day and I've never seen this before. You are a magnet, Olivia Roberts." Faye's sweet voice echoes around the library. If I didn't have a power and could just live here without training I would spend all day here. Even if it hurts my head after a few hours of reading.
A page reads, 'The history of Jace Peterson and Marshall Peterson will live on forever, for they made the world different places, each trying to accomplish different things. But who was really evil? Jace or Marshall?'
My eyes widen slightly and I look at Faye, only to see her pulling the exact same expression as me. You don't see this in The Intelligent library.
'Once the Government, also known now as The Intelligent took over the streets, the first thing they would do if people were seen using their abilities is kill them. Estimates show that over 5,000 people died just in Britalia from protesting against this act and using their powers to prove something to The Intelligent. Jace supported the act of killing people and banishing the use of powers and in less than 5 years, became the Priminister or 'leader' as some would call him, of The Intelligent. There are 7 leaders, one on each continent, controlling the world and putting a stop to unique and colourful power.
