The Meeting

Red leaned out and tipped her chin up. She looked up at him, and as soon as their eyes met, he felt something strike him so forcefully that he fell to the ground. She stood there, looking perplexed and wondering what had just happened, shock in her eyes. Red sprung to attention, got to his feet, and desired to know,

Who are you? What's your name?"

She gave him a quick glance, she remained silent for a while before introducing herself.

" My name is Luna." With some hesitation she said, "I am a cat." "who are you?" "Why are you so soft and fuzzy?" She asked

him with a sudden interest. Red was surprised yet intrigued by Luna's response. After hearing her lovely voice, Red grinned a little and replied,

" My name is Red." "I am a fox."

Then he extended his hand again as though to shake hers, but she refused to move to accept his hand in hers.

"So, um, where are you from?"Red asked,

swiftly raising his hand to scratch his head. She then pointed into the forest and Red questioned

"Do you have any family?"

Red stood there for a while, Luna's response. After a long pause, which seemed like forever to Red, She shook her head yes.
