The Meeting

 Luna nodded once more, approving of Red's choice.

"come and we will lay together to stay warm, and you can rest. In the morning, we will go and find your family."

Once again, Red took a seat on the ground, dragging Luna down with him. Red wrapped his arms around Luna, holding her close, as the sun started to set. As Red saw Luna huddle in closer, laying her head on his chest, she started to purrr. The sound of her purring was the most comforting thing he had ever experienced, he closed his eyes, feeling grateful for the warmth of Luna's presence beside him. Red knew that he would do whatever it took to keep Luna safe and find her family.

He whispered softly, "I promise we will find them, Luna."

In the morning, Red woke up to find Luna still curled up next to him fast asleep. He gently stroked her fur and vowed to never let anything happen to her. He gently uncurled Luna from his arms and stepped outside the cave. The sun was just beginning to rise over the mountains, casting a warm glow on the world around him as he sat on a rock, watching and listening for the hunters. After a few minutes of hearing the natural sounds of the forest, he realized they were alone again. At ease with the feeling that Luna was safely asleep inside the cave, he set out to find them some breakfast.

Lunas eyes opened slowly as she stretched her limbs and yawned, blinking up at the sunlight filtering through the trees into the small opening at the top of the cave. Realizing that she was alone, Luna's heart sank as she looked around the cave for Red. She felt a knot form in her stomach, fearing the worst. She called out his name, but there was no response. All of a sudden, she heard rustling outside the cave, causing her heart to race with both fear and hope. Luna cautiously made her way to the entrance, peering out to see
